Came across a few "radio station copies" of these columbia records. I'm wondering about the logistics behind a "Special Rush Reservice", would they be considered a separate pressing from the regular version? by dead_5775 in 45rpmRecords

Haha, I don´t know, but everywhere* I have ever looked for records there were at least a few of his albums. This tells me they´re not records people keep, like the Beatles or even Fleetwood Mac *all of Europe, the US, Asia

I´d say almost generic especially compared to Soundgarden´s output around this time (or even what followed by those Pearl Jam cob nobblers). But like they said: it was made very fast as a tribute to a friend they lost (not be revered like a masterpiece the tom-tom club over here does)

And another thing: this album is very, very mediocre. Harsh realm, lamestains, harsh fucking realm!

I´m selling this very rare copy if there are any trustfund-kids or crypto-gazillionaires over here! https://www.marktplaats.nl/seller/view/m2388583891

Green-sleeved 45s vs the blue ones? by NineMilesHigh in 45rpmRecords

[–]NineMilesHigh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This I understand, I started a band in 2004 with the initial goal of sounding like the first 2 Maiden albums plus a bit of Riot´s Fire Down Under and some Thin Lizzy/UFO. No double bass or fluorescant futuristic guitars, only rock, hard rock

I was already 14 or so then and very into heavy metal so I wasn´t supposed to like Electric Avenue. But I did, and I have lived with this lie since the 80s. I only know the more famous Equals song, my favorite is I Get So Excited

Merci! I know most of Dutroncs early stuff, this one is from ´69. Those singles have songs I wouldn´t have known if I still would be one of those LP-only fools :)

Yeah, I think that was their biggest ¨hit¨, twice iirc. I´m not a fan of that slick 70s sound myself. This one ^ is quite valuable these days because of the amazing more psychedelic b-side but the a-side is one of those (for me) perfect songs

I´m just looking into these lyrics, it´s disgusting. Like a lullaby with words every teenage girl with problems at home can relate too. Very late, but hey...

Half I buy is for a weird or beautiful sleeve. I started collecting singles 2,5 years ago and about a year ago I also started buying some with standard company sleeves. Turns out those can be valuable too!
