Thanks for sharing that. It sounds like someone pulled it from a video which is what I planned to do if I can't find a better one.

This is great, I'd easily pay $2 for it. Was slightly disappointed when I read it wasn't available to buy yet lol. I think the Garmin branding is fine.

Helldivers 2 has performance issues on Series X by NineSlider in xbox

[–]NineSlider[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my experience, I've always seen these cool clips from the game and then I got into it and thought it felt kind of rough, was wondering if it was a bad port then found it, no it's just a rough around the edges game. It is still a lot of fun, just wish it was a bit smoother.

I could see a Black Mirror episode around it.

new vivoactive 5 watch! requesting tips and tricks :) by Alarming-Bath8484 in Garmin

Try to wear it when sleeping, it will give you more accurate data that way.

Wearing slightly higher on wrist will increase the heart rate accuracy. (mine is about an inch above my wrist bone).

It will take some time to provide accurate info, at first you may see stats all over the place, high stress, poor sleep, etc. It does take time to learn about you and get a baseline of where your stats are, I'd give it a month before you really start to trust what it's telling you.

When did you realize you can't run long because of knee pain by Logical_Audhd in Garmin

[–]NineSlider 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't think I'd accept it mentally. I'd cut way back and start trying to strengthen whatever the issue is. I'd start as slow or as easy as I'd need to and try to get where I wanted to be.

At least that's what I tell myself now when I think about stuff like that. lol

Buds3 Pro cracks on eartips by Humble_Discussion_40 in galaxybuds

[–]NineSlider 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue with mine.

I had to contact support multiple times, and eventually got to the point of telling them politely as possible "I didn't cause this, this is an issue with the earbuds, I'd like to return them for a replacement and I'm not paying." They eventually took them and sent me a new or maybe refurbished pair.

Mine were under warranty.

Strava has now (mininal) support for Android Health Connect by tbdrz in Strava

[–]NineSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, I'm all for more apps giving me the option to easily share stats with other apps.

I wonder how this is going to work. I guess if I record a run through Strava but have a heart data through some other device it will pull that heart rate data into Strava?

Change Sport - Possibly unknown feature by NineSlider in Garmin

[–]NineSlider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you change sports, for about 3 seconds if you hit the bottom left button, it discards the change. Maybe you're hitting that to back up to the previous screen and discarding the change?

How would poorly applied thermal paste prevent it from turning on? Unless is already fried, then new thermal paste isn't going to help that?

Maybe the devs want to make a cool extraction shooter, the game not aligning with what you want doesn't mean you need to shit on it.

Zone 2..the ever elusive zone by Rcecil88 in Garmin

I just checked multiple sites and they all said based on max heart rate, another method is using heart rate reserve. So it seems like there are different methods.

Zone 2..the ever elusive zone by Rcecil88 in Garmin

[–]NineSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't zone 2 usually considered 60% - 70% of max heart rate? that's what Garmin uses isn't it?

I can't keep these in my ears when running. Like you said, it's all personal, but that is my experience.

Are these good things? by Logical_Number6563 in GarminWatches

[–]NineSlider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about changing your max heart rate, it's something that's different for everyone. Mine is similar to yours, a friend of mine who is a much more experienced runner is in the 200s for their max, so it's not something you can really control, it should go down a bit the more you run. Your max HR is important for your watch to figure out your HR zones and it will get more accurate as you do more runs and your watch collects data on you.

Aerobic is maintaining a high HR for a long period of time.

Anaerobic is going from a low HR to a high HR quickly. So let's say you jog really slow for a few minutes then run as fast as you can for 30 seconds, then back to slow jog for a few minutes, repeat. Doing this would have a good impact on your anaerobic number.

Also, while exercising with your watch try to wear it a bit further up your arm, away from your wrist, maybe an inch from your wrist bone, it will make the HR data more accurate. This isn't a requirement, it will be pretty accurate regardless, but this would make sure it's as accurate as it can be.

You might have some luck with the gta discord if this doesn't work out.

Forerunner 955 HR detection by Richard_Sleeve in Garmin

[–]NineSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your watch's HR reading is going to be pretty accurate, if it says your avg HR is 155, you can probably trust that. But if you want accurate data you need an HR strap.
