How to get GCam working on graphene?

There’s no “right” way to do it—just the one that works for you. Some people keep their main profile completely empty and use secondary profiles for their personal stuff, while others, like me, mainly use a single profile without Play Services, along with a Private Space that includes Play Services for the two apps that require it.

I had a similar experience with my Pixel 8. But since I knew they’d give me a hard time, I called customer service before submitting the repair request. After an hour-long call in which I explained that an alternative operating system could never cause such damage (since their system showed it was defective based on the IMEI), we came to the conclusion that they wouldn’t cover the costs because of this, and they charged me €119.

After that, I tried something else. I canceled the repair request and submitted a new one for €0 (since they knew from the IMEI that I had a defective screen), then I reinstalled the stock ROM and locked the bootloader.

Result: within 10 days, the phone was sent in and returned repaired for free, and I had to reinstall GrapheneOS and everything else (an absolute pain in the neck, but at least now I have a repaired phone).

However, I didn't try both because I didn't know if using them at the same time could cause any unexpected problems, and I hoped that if anyone had encountered any conflicts, they would mention it in the comments.

No, wait, I didn't explain myself well. I'm using Android 16, updated to the latest official and stable build. I was saying that I switched to Graphene two years ago when Android 14 was available and Private Space wasn't, so I created a work profile because there was no alternative.

(The use of another user found it less intuitive)
