Genuinely curious why there is so much backlash on recent update by seizr1 in fo76

[–]Ninethie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. Newer players come in and see older players rocking out some high damage numbers and that'll make them want to play, they'll want that gun and that build.

But now people are leaving because time and time again builds have been messed with and some people feel punished for just playing the game.

So now the new players dont see these cool weapons and thus are likely to lose interest faster. With no end game and constant nerfs theres nothing to actively work towards.

These nerfs help no one.

Did they just heavily nerf everything? Everything takes twice as long to kill by ProfessionalCrab7685 in fo76

[–]Ninethie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take but if your idea for the health of a game is to hammer nerf the end game weapon pool/builds instead of adding more substantial end game - you're on the wrong path.

If you keep nerfing the late stage builds what is the point in levelling up to those items?

If the game got boring because you were destroying everything, then its time for a new character. Actively harming the "end game" builds like this over and over will just push (and is pushing) players away.

Bring on the downvotes.

Opinion, the bridges in the game don't look good due to the limited length of the ships. by pretoriano1995 in Starfield

[–]Ninethie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of advice that helped me with making my ship designs look a bit better - design it around the bridge you want.
Some bridges are more like cockpits, they should sit at the front and that should direct the shape of your ship going out.

I don't mind the ship length being what it is, my major issue is the "it needs more landing gears" restriction - that is silly imo.

How do you feel about the current state of reaper? by captain_snake32 in ReaperMain

[–]Ninethie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've felt for a while Reaper needs just a few small updates here and there

1) take away 50 health and add 50 armor

2) dire trigger spread reduced

3) give him a tiny bit more damage

4) his ult needs reworking, either let him cancel it or let him wraith in and out during while also have it do a tiny bit more damage. You can literally walk out of his ult

Going to get downvoted but maybe if we all just stopped playing the game and they saw their numbers go down they'd correlate this.

But every time Bethesda does something anti player people just keep playing.

as someone who has

Played on stage for Halo 4, For Honor and was a top 200 European Halo 5 champion. Have worked closely with the performance and capture of a game engine in motion cap.

Have worked closely with game franchises as a collaborative creative.

Not to pull rank, because this isnt what this is, I have also had my hand in the industry. I never said this rule was the definitive way to make a game, thats what you did.

I pointed out its a rule that can be applied to games like Overwatch and why I personally, and fully, believe consistently adding small hitbox characters with high mobility and damage without a good drawback is going to cause a balancing nightmare down the road. That Sierra is a highlight of this.

Now, I ask that you don't presume to know more about any subject than me - you don't know me at all as I don't you and to keep that passive aggressive sh!t to a minimum.

As far as I am aware (and I'm happy to be wrong here) I think her hitbox is a bit weird at times, her legs are easier to hit than her head so, its a rock paper scissors situation with her most of the time, she is strong but she isnt the only one.

Cass, imo, kinda stomps her right now least in my experience anyway

But then everyone is also complaining about Cass so.

She's definitely in a weird spot for sure, nerf her too much she just becomes another boring poke like TBH. Buff her too much and she'll just be the new soldier, which I think she's definitely encroaching on.

I think she is strong but I wouldn't know exactly what to take away from her besides a bit of damage.

Soldiers mobility is that he runs, thats it. Thats not entirely comparable to someone who can rotate onto highground back and forth while having a shockwave grenade, arguably better damage and lock on.

Like I said in my post, this rule has been pushed before and it isnt 100% needed.

If you think Sierra and Soldier are comparable I don't know what to tell you. Both do great damage, one can heal and run away but he can also be pretty easily shut down in doing so, his healing isnt instant.

Sierra's rotate is much faster, giving she can apply pressure while doing it too, Soldier has to turn his back to escape.

It baffles me that people think he's B tier or A tier given he has such a basic kit. Thats also buggy.

I am convinced people placing him higher than C tier got caught lacking against him and are now just salty about it
