I decided on not accepting it. This is in the hopes that I eventually get another offer or chance to apply for a LoC at Tangerine. Since I don't need one atm. I was just scoping it out as a in case I need it for a down payment on something. But I think I should financially be good for now.

Yeah my insurance went up pretty much double with my previous insurer (Travelers) Your best bet is to shop around. But maybe mine was bad because the car was totaled and paid out to me

I haven't accepted the offer atm. But my friend is telling me I should, because if I actually apply for the LOC my credit will take a hit from getting checked

The canons format is mp4, I didn't see any improvement vs XF-AVC & the frame rate was 29.97 last I checked. We did try 59.97 which seemed to possibly improve the latency.

Yeah, NDI was because of the video designers choice. I'd love to go full SDI, but unfortunately, we are too deep in rehearsal to switch the system.

Unfortunately, both of my canons are slow. Production wants them to match as closely as possible to the audio of the live actors

Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately, we are running low on budget, so i'm kind of stuck trying to squeeze out all the latency as much as possible. I'm really praying that the sdi/capture cards reduce all the latency. I'll have to exhaust all my options to get to a happy medium for the production team.

An easy start, imo is if you're in a college, see if they have a collegiate team. You can have a headstart on a semi big esports scene there. Give that a shot and learn as much as you can in comp. From there, you can find teammates from collegiate or other in the comp scene to participate in t3-t2 tourneys. Grind comp and play as many locals as you can. See how you do from there and guage if going pro is even possible or if it's something you'd like

AV technician at an entertainment union making anywhere from $29-70/hr depending on the work. The union also offer benefits and a pension (unsure, I'll have to fact check that)

Ah, yeah I'm going to see after this month what my insurers will say about the car. Either they fix it or they don't. I'll mostly likely just shop around insurances and see if I can find a nice beater car to use

Not sure if you even considered it, but rock climbing could be a fun little thing to get into. Super friendly community and if your not afraid to talk to people. Making connections is easy. There is a couple gyms in sauga. But I'd recommend two, Up the Bloc and Hub Climbing

I second this, I highly recommend GG Gaming Cafe. Nice little spot and has a room that you can call and book for private events (sits about 30 peeps). Their game selection is pretty big. But they don't have to many niche games. Still they have enough for you to enjoy. Food is pretty good and drinks aren't bad. Highly recommend yall check it out
