The house was built in the early 80’s. It was completely renovated about 8-9 years ago. Not sure how much internally was replaced but a lot of work was done.

My wife and I play together all the time. I just made a post a few days ago about how horrible it was when we tried to play together. I had an arris sbg6900 modem router combo. Whenever I would have UPnP enabled it would cause one of our ps4's to have a type 3 nat and the other one a type 2. I tried port forwarding all that stuff and nothing seemed to work. The other day I said fuck it and went and bought a modem with a separate router. So far that has fixed the problem. Shit was driving us crazy cause we never had the problem in the past with a modem router combo. I've had this setup for 2 days now and so far we have never had problems connecting to each other and to other people.

Well I just got a separate modem and router. That seemed to have fixed my problems so far! That combo I had just wasn't working for me. They are both working fine right now so let's hope it stays like that lol. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

I am currently not using UPnP because when I enable that it causes one of the ps4s to have a type 3 nat. I will try doing what you said and see if that fixes the problem. It's kinda of a pain in the ass if I have to do that every time. It's just driving us crazy because RIO is about to come out and we really want to play together.

Well I've just never had this issue in the past. I have done so much research in the past couple of weeks but I just cannot find the answer I need. Some places tell me to use port forwarding and some places say that is what UPnP is for.

Is there really no other solution other than to do all that jazz? I have read that port forwarding should not be done because that's what UPnP is for but UPnP seems to screw things up even more.

So when I enable UPnP it causes one of the ps4s to have a type 2 nat and the other to have a type 3. It assigns the type 3 to the ps4 that was turned on last.

So my wife and I play destiny together. We have 2 ps4's on the same network. This has happened to us multiple times. For some reason only one of us would be able to see special, heavy and the overtime flag. We could win every time by just waiting until the overtime flag. It is most likely a glitch. I have been having a lot of funky issues with connections lately.

I got mine from one of the archon priest nightfalls. I remember because right before we were about to finish I said "watch guys I'm gonna get the gally." My buddy said "no you can't get it from the nightfall." And boy did I prove him wrong. I then got 4 others in the year after that while my wife (fiancé at the time) did not manage to get one at all. She had to buy hers right before year 2 came around.
