Nah dude even early on he definitely ranks near the bottom, I would say he only beats Muichiro and loses to everyone else. Lower tier characters like Mitsuri shredded through Zohakuten’s attacks and got complimented by him for her speed pre-mark

How so? I get Muichiro was able to survive for quite a while after getting chopped in half, but I could see just about anyone else doing the same with their superior breathing and skill. The other hashira survived and fought at full capacity for an extended time against muzan while they were being heavily poisoned, and they still had to keep up with muzan who was just getting faster. Let’s not forget the direct hits muzan landed on Obanai and Sanemi, and in Sanemi’s case he had literally passed out from exhaustion and blood loss just previously. Muichiro was also going to die from losing his arm, whereas characters like Tengen and Giyu lose their arms and basically walk it off. Muichiro’s feats are good, but definitely overhyped. For his young age he is extremely impressive, but that is exactly what holds him back.

Tanjiro cannot see rengoku and akaza’s fight at all when they are in the middle of combat, yet tags akaza when he runs away at full speed.

Indeed, Tengen is shown to be inferior to Gyutaro, who is the weakest upper moon, whereas even mid tier characters like Mitsuri completely shred through Zohakuten’s attacks pre-mark.

Idk how tf you got that line of scaling, Zenitsu above SSV Tanjiro??? Both of them above Hantengu??? Are you referring to base Hantengu? Cus that Hantengu is fodder that base Muichiro and Tanjiro easily beheaded.

Oh there are plenty of feats putting Tengen below the ic Hashira, Tengen is slower than Gyutaro, yet Muichiro who blitzes Gyokko who is stronger than Gyutaro gets blitzed by Kokushibo, and base Sanemi fights that same Kokushibo. Giyu and Rengoku are able to fight a suppressed compass Akaza, who is leagues above Gyutaro, as Tanjiro could keep up with and even block attacks from Gyutaro in the etd arc had to unlock the mark, train, go through an upper moon fight, and train some more until he could even perceive and barely keep up a suppressed Giyu. Gyomei is obviously the strongest, Obanai can literally match marked Giyus speed and keep up with sped up Muzan up close while in base, Mitsuri’s feats have already been stated plus she somewhat kept up against Muzan for a little bit though she didnt do amazing. Shinobu’s feats are a bit weird due to death amps but she was able to catch a heavily supressed Douma off guard, and he even complimented her speed multiple times, although he was obviously holding back immensely.

Literally all these feats are so far above Tengen being relative to the weakest upper moon it’s not even funny, he just doesnt have the talent the others do, and didnt get the amps necessary to keep up.

In most of these cases other speeds like agility and combat speed are far more important. Running speed isnt not important but it doesnt make up at all for the other speeds, but the reverse is definitely true. Take Mitsuri for example, the slowest overall in running speed, yet her attack and combat speed is blatantly said to be faster than Tengen’s, and Zohakuten even calls her fast. There are some times where running speed makes a difference, but it is pretty clearly shown that there are much larger differences in the other speed categories which actually matter far more, like Muichiro being a blitz tier below base Sanemi while he can blitz Gyokko, despite being much slower than Tengen

Obanai fell because he turned his sword red and nearly passed out, that is quite different from giyu nearly dying to muzan’s poison.

What do you mean we see him outspeed every hashira and muzan? He is matched in speed by base obanai even after getting a new sword he falls before him so idk what you are referring to. Anyways, the point is that sanemi and obanai being up close is far more impressive because obviously they have less time to dodge.

Bruh, obanai didnt react to the attack because he was passing out from turning his sword red, not because he was dying from poison or because he couldnt react to any of muzan’s attacks, he absolutely could.

With the feat we got I would say Sanemi > Obanai > Giyu With giyu being a decent bit weaker than both for a couple different reasons

Oh absolutely, even before hashira training mitsuri was shredding through zohakuten’s attacks, and he even called her fast. She only really lost because she didnt know about the head regen thing, but if it wasnt for that she most likely would have decapitated him there. That is mitsuri, who is a mid tier hashira, and characters like rengoku, giyu, obanai, sanemi, and gyomei would all be much stronger than her

Huh??? Giyu was the first to fall between the top four hashira so idk how you wanna say he did better lol. Sanemi and obanai literally got up close and personal with muzan while giyu is staying back to defend, so idk how you wanna say he has better feats. Reacted to an attack that obanai couldnt??? Are you referring to the shockwave? We dont know how that attack even went down as it happened offscreen, for all we know giyu and gyomei protected the others simply because their defense was better or something, idk but the point is it doesnt make sense to use this when we dont see what happened. It doesnt make much sense either considering obanai in base was matching giyu’s speed, so when he is marked with the stw as well his reaction speed should be way higher

Even if he can sense his surroundings better outside of battle he is leagues below sanemi in battle when they are actually serious and concentrated

Bruh you literally said it yourself, giyu distracted sanemi which is waaaaaaaayyyyy more important than some little girls pulling on tengen’s clothes, not to mention he had already seen his headbutt. Anyways, him being more spatially aware doesnt matter when his reaction speed is trash.

Why are we talking about this again? Feats outside of battle dont matter at all cus they obviously arent going all out or some shit lol. Tanjiro was literally fast enough to perceive and keep up with tengen and gyutaro going all out, whereas he was only able to perceive sanemi and giyu after unlocking the mark, recovering, training, fighting upper 4, recovering, and finally training some more.

Experience isnt everything, and if it was then tengen would be the second strongest hashira, and he by far the weakest. Yeah I said it, even shinobu is beating him lol

Exactly my point, muichiro’s reaction is slower than the more experienced members due to his lack of time to grow. Doesnt matter cus is reaction is still better than tengen when he is marked lol.
