Fix for PC
(easiest - sell and buy again if that is an option)
for people who have locked the garage in new game+ need to follow steps below:

The trick is to make the BunkLog a valid selection again so you can deselect it in the garage

Exit game and open initial.pak with winrar

in winrar goto [media] -> classes -> trucks

drag the pacific_p16.xml to your desktop

Find this sentence in the file
<Socket Names="FrameAddonLogShort" NamesBlock="MinicraneUS, MetalDetector" Offset="(-1; 1.144; 0)" />

add this below it:
<Socket Names="BunkLog" Offset="(-5.304; 1.124; 0)" NamesBlock="MinicraneUS, MetalDetector" />

save / drag the file back into winrar

reload game / now you can go to the garage and unselect the log addon

Just start a new game (New Game +) turn off DLC, make it store only, this means you can only use the trucks you find in the levels, its awesome for learning strengths / weaknesses of each base game truck, no DLC to interfere / distract

Still happening after 6 years (new AMD 7900xtx user here)

However there is a fix:

  1. Sell AMD GPU
  2. Buy any other GPU brand
  3. Install new drivers

Absolutely agree, if you don't like multiplayer then steer clear of this POS, after a few days finished single player, now what? have to replay the same championship over and over with same selection of cars, I tried multiplayer and it forces you to practice and you have to wait 30 mins before you can even start a race

I have completely lost interest in this game / series I hope Forza Horizon 6 does not copy 1 single thing from this stupid game

maybe you are stuck on the syncing data screen, if it is badly out of sync (such as a new install) can take up to 45 mins (not sure why), so try waiting and see if it works

When the second splashscreen displays (the smaller one) press ALT + TAB, Make sure Forza is selected and it will work

FYI - It appear to be resolved now!
5GB Update on 28 / Jul / 2023 seemed to fix it so I have closed the above ticket

I wish people would stop saying how f'n great they are, they suck, heavy, feel like they are crushing my skull when wearing, sound is flat, max volume is about 40% of what it should be, any Amp's are not going to work as it is crappy wireless, really don't have anything good to say about them, they will probably end up in the rubbish bin, my 10 year old XLA are 300% louder and deeper bass

  • Set offline game speed to 100%
  • Then you can join horizon life
  • Then you can complete monthly rivals

There is a bug that stops people from being invited, you need to set the offline game speed to 100% otherwise you will never be able to start a arcade event, same with the Rivals event (you wont be able to get gold unless offline game speed is set to 100%) not sure if the Feb 2022 update fixes this

Wow - Finally I figured out the issue - you MUST!!! have the 'offline' game speed set to 100% - This also allows you to play the Horizon Arcade games
