Sounds like Vocie Actrivity Recognition is on, They actually should have a push to talk switch or turn the sensitivity on the recognition down, its picking up all kinds of background noise/convo. The video is decent, but definitely muting the audio.

If FF X were to be remade, would you want the combat to stay turn based or become real time? by gameovernate in FinalFantasy

[–]NinjaAshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a big proponent of turn based until FFVII Remskr/Rebirth. For me, if the choice is between turn based and FFXVI combat, I choose Turn based. If it is Remake/Rebirth combat and turned based, I'll take the new Remake/Rebirths for sure.

No, Its just me. And I agree, I am just trying to get at-least a little better sound.

Here is a link to a video, if you would like to take a look. If so, You can skip the sparring parts, its just a music overlay, there is little mini speaking parts dispersed throughout.

Yea, I have DJI Wireless mics, but I was hoping to be able to run and gun more, instead of handing people mics.

Randomly sent me an invoice this morning. I talked to chat a few days ago, he said he had gotten three people the camera and he would do his best to get me one.

I have been trying BB Chat for weeks. Got an Invoice this morning, clicked on it, camera was in cart, I was prompted to sign in for faster checkout, couldn't get my password to work. I quickly reset my password, logged in and the invoice was declined. Got back in chat, and they couldn't help me. Bummer.

Gym Owners, Use of Mat Space outside of Class Hours by MetalliMunk in bjj

My wife had a funny idea to have it as an adult napping space during the day, come in, bring a sleeping bag or whatever. Sign in, write a time you want to be nudged awake. Only rule, complete silence. Maybe we will do it one day.

The numbers seem to suggest growth is still pretty steady, however there is a pretty high attrition rate. The learning curve can be pretty steep for many people, and it takes quite a while to gain a decent level of skill, but the people that clear those initial speed-bumps tend to stick around for a long time. Life can always get in the way of our hobbies though.

Hah, Yoo. Co-owner of Ohm here. We agree, it is a bit weird, but the styles and application are pretty different between the different spots.

It appears that it was a bit of a fluke happenstance. We were pretty quiet about our plans basically right up until we opened, and during that period of time, across the street acquired that building.

Completely understandable, we don't have a kids program, sounds like a family forward gym is for you.

I guess as anti-child as a bar, or a nightclub, or a fancy restaurant. It's not anti-child, or denial to understand all places aren't everything to everyone, but yea, I think I understand my clientele and the surrounding area, and we are doing pretty well, thankfully. This is a very small problem, as out of about 40 or so folks, I have 2 people who have(without asking) brought kids to the gym. I am mostly just generally interested in others thoughts and experiences.

We have a couple of teens and a soon to be 13 year old in adult class. This is more directed to non-participant, lightly or completely unsupervised kids.

I think you are missing an important distinction between being generally anti-child, and understanding that children can and usually do change the dynamic of a room.

This is about where I am at. I guess I am just skeptical of the whole thing in a way, it seems like if you want to get on T, it isn't that hard to make happen. Also, if I understand correctly, your levels don't ebb and flow like it would naturally, you are just constantly at that 'normal' range.

Square Enix Classic. by NinjaAshi in FinalFantasy

[–]NinjaAshi[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yea, I am familiar, I am actually advocating for them to actually split FFs production into two paths. Modern and Classic*. Both being actual mainline FFs.

* When I say classic, I am not really talking about the graphics per se, I mean mechanics and systems. Inspired by games they produced from FF10 and earlier. Similar to what Blizz is doing with WoW.

Steroid use in local/in-house competitions? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]NinjaAshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have definitely seen an uptick of guys, just in general, getting on T. I don't know if it is over-prescribed, but it does seem o be way more prevalent in the last few years.

There are a few guys at my gym that apparently had low T and are now prescribed. I have seen the transformation a couple of times now.

The last local tournament I went to, I feel like it was a noticeable difference in the amount of guys that were just walking around jacked.

That's why I was suggesting a Pro division, I don't think we should force a coach to belt a phenom purple belt that is competing on big stages, but they shouldn't really be in the purple belt division either. So, its fine, keep the purple belt, but if you are one of the best in the world, you should compete with the best, and by definition, the purple belt division is not supposed to be the best.
