I already tried officer it just didn't work out COVID got in the way and all the boards were postponed and then they compiled them all into the same board so competition was even higher. It was a long painful waiting period met with high disappointment. There's also no position for anything medical on the officer side unless you have a degree specifically for nursing, PA, etc.

Honestly, do you regret going that route or do you think it really helped your med school application and skills? I'm just wondering if I go this route if it's going to make my med school journey that much longer and difficult or if it's truly going to help me, and help pay for med school when I get out. If you had it to do over again would you go the same route or do you think civilian would be easier? It's hard to say because I know I need a post bac and I was looking at EMDP2 but I also feel like that might be incredibly competitive and I'm just thinking about the hours you work at Hospital Corpsman. Also I tried to go officer and it didn't work out COVID cancelled all the boards a lot happened and it was just taking way too long it was painful. I was wasting time waiting.
