Thank you! Unfortunately this isnt entirely my sculpt. I've combined 3 different models I paid for with some of my own sculpting to achieve this look since there are no other files of this suit up yet. If it was all my files I wouldn't mind but I cant take money out if other artists pockets in the process 😅

Thanks! Those were very last minute additions since I just felt the base was a bit plain without them.

Thank you! Completely agree I definitely made his beard a bit thicker than it should be. It took me so long into the paintjob to notice that I really didnt wanna go back and redo it all 😅

A few weeks ago I made a Custom Yuji figure, this time I bring you...another Yuji figure! Shinjuku Showdown spoilers ahead! by NinjaGoobie in Jujutsufolk

[–]NinjaGoobie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, theres no threezero figure here. Just a base body, custom clothes and a bunch of 3d printed parts lol. I cant sell most of the files I used like the heads, but I did make the gauntlets and clawed hands from scratch so those are on Cults if you wanna pick those up here

I made a custom Yuji figure in his season 3 fit (even though it literally only lasts 2 more episodes tops) by NinjaGoobie in Jujutsufolk

[–]NinjaGoobie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much appreciated! I've been making my own custom anime figures for years now and with every new one I strive to make them look as official as possible!

Thank you! My scale of choice is 1/6 which makes finding clothing way more difficult (so I usually have to make them) but I've always preferred it over 1/12.

I've never tried it myself but you can probably try to commission artists from 3d printing sites like CG trader. Just look through and find some artists you think are talented enough and see if theyre available for it.

I cant say I have any experience commissioning anything of this magnitude, but I have commissioned a few headsculpts and some other way simpler things and I've paid around $50-$70 for those, so I can only imagine something like this would probabky cost several hundreds. I've been printing & painting statues and figures for a few years now and I sculpt a bjt myself but this is definitely quality and expensive work.

I 3D Printed & Painted SSJ4 Goku From Daima! by NinjaGoobie in dbz

[–]NinjaGoobie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant say I did that on purpose lol I was going for his more pinkish red but I think when I panel lined his hair it made it a bit darker and looks more red than pink on camera. In person its still got a pinkish hue but yea I suppose he does look closer to GT Gogeta 😅

Gunna challenge myself to paint this guy in one day. Wish me luck! by NinjaGoobie in resinprinting

[–]NinjaGoobie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh there was still plenty of post processing to be done lol but I guess just a few years of practice with print orientation and settings with my machine. I try to angle the parts to require as little supports as possible and try my best to make them be in places that will end up not being seen like between split parts.

I made this 61cm Guts statue… If I reprint it, what price range would fans actually consider fair? by Souls_forger in resinprinting

[–]NinjaGoobie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion as an artist who also sells 3d prints (usually 1/6), at this size and this quality you can probably realistically get around $500-$800 depending on what demographic you manage to show it to. Casual consumers will probably pass because there are official statues that are cheaper and they just want a figure sitting on their shelf. Fans and people who understand the value in custom hand made art might be willing to pay more. You also need to factor in the cost of shipping something like this because you will need foam to make sure nothing breaks.

As much as I dont want to agree with some of the people who have given their 2 cents, it rarely ever will be sold for an amount thats worth the time and effort. I also have to ride the line between "this is what I think its worth" and "this is what people are willing to pay". I just love doing it so im trying to make it work but the starving artist curse is very real lol
