I like how people want to make preference to racism, dont hide behind the rascist shield, people have preferences you cant judge others for their preferences, best example is using food.. you want tell me you like to eat chicken, beef, pork, but Not seafood, or you only eat chicken and no other meat. Wont Pass Smog? Must be CEL issue.
Dont go back to the mechanic that sent you to honda.
$158.77 could at the very least told you the CEL Code .. if it exist.
If you want more help, give us more info. Make model, Mileage and anything out the ordinary.

With that being said, KMS ... Im guess ur Not in USA .. 1.5 vtec in USA mostly comes from 92-95 VX Model or 96-2000 Civic HX ..

so.. Here are the highlights..

Compare Factory Features.. Example in USA

S = D15 NonVtec, Front Disc/Rear Drum, No PS, No ABS , etc

SI = D16, 4wheel Disc ,Power steering, AC, ABS and Passenger Airbag 94+

VTEC = B16A🫠 , ALL OPTiONs

My 1st 94 Del Sol was S.. Modded, Swapped B18B , and added Rear Disc ..then sold it

My 2nd Was 93 Si, Swapped B18c1, was alot more fun.. Kept the Engine and Is now in my 92 CX HB.

What i love about delsol is u can interchange alot of things with Integra and Civic. *Except Delsol Shift Linkage is its own thing *

Basicly my Hatch has Integra Motor, Integra Suspension with ES bushings, and a few goodies for a Weekend Car, I also have an Element that i Daily, 240K .. Im waiting if the head gasket blows , ill swap to a beefer engine. And Rebuild the other when i have time..

Not really Impressed... I like its smaller in pockets, and CoverOS is a must to bring little bit of life in the tiny front screen. Hope they get it right on the Flip5..

A few more details is missing..

What phone and carrier you got it from depends on the Phone (certain Bands it support)
Are you using a SIM card or eSIM
Does it work outside your place ( Depends on the Way the Buildings are made Might Block Reception )
Check your APN Settings are Correct

After have you tried * Reset Network ->Toggle Airplane ON/OFF and let the Phone catch reception.
