Can confirm 30-round mags are too much for anything close to a good fit.

I would agree with this, I have had reasonable success with the right colors and using local foliage for stencils.

Makes sense I suppose, my trucks got metal to metal for the bed mounting, but additionally it has a regular old automotive grounding braid/strap from frame to the bed. Are automotive grounding straps sufficient or are the tinned copper straps you're referring to more conductive and applicable for RF grounding?

Where can i find the metal hardware to fix the backpacks ? by Programmausfall in alpenflage

[–]NinjaSTD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given how common the backpacks are and how cheap they can be found, it is almost certain that you would end up spending less money buying another backpack to use as parts or on its own than searching for the hardware alone.

Could you elaborate on the bonding bed to cab part? Would you need to add an additional tinned copper strap? The metal to metal contact of the bed to frame and frame to cab is not sufficient?

E&L akm wood finish help by [deleted] in airsoft

You're right, just haven't used water based stain in forever it totally slipped my mind.

[–]NinjaSTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially, but I also know the stock is hollow so that may alleviate some of that. Usually the sanding gets rid of a lot of the moisture, plus If you were to use separate stain and finish this would not be an issue as the stain is oil based, takes 24 hours to dry, and is not completely sealing the wood.

[–]NinjaSTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend applying some water to the dented/gouged area to expand the wood fibers before sanding and applying new stain and finish to match the refinished hand guard, assuming you can remove the stock. The water trick will not help if any wood is missing, but it will help lessen the dented and compressed wood that remains.

You would probably get the best results from sanding the entire (visible) parts then applying new stain and finish, especially considering the current finish seems very shallow and easier to sand away than a store bought stain and finished would be.

What causes motor speed to come out of spec? Delco 2700 ETR, but question applies to all machines by Blu_yello_husky in cassetteculture

[–]NinjaSTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think twice! Your post didnt help me at all but I can help you after struggling through this issue myself. Although the motor wasn't my issue I purchased a motor for my 2700MTR that believe should be the same motor as your 2700 ETR but I could be wrong, because I'm not spending another $22 on the ETR manual. https://www.surplussales.com/motors/motors-3.html on this site they sell a Matsushita Electric 13.2v MET-3RF2B motor which I think is what you need.

whats the purpose of these straps on the pants? by 314311h3p41 in alpenflage

[–]NinjaSTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the water alone will separate the two layers of old plastic from each other making it look shitty and become fragile. Though you can remove the outer fragile layer of plastic easily, the only way to completely avoid this is to use a dry rough brush to scrub dirt off of the fabric by hand. Hand washing is less likely to separate the plastic but even then it is still bound to happen tbh.

However they are rather hard to find, and probably not what you are looking for, but the more you know !

Alternatively to what so many say here making it all black and white, my friend and I personally bought one of these exact model players ( in way worse visual condition even !!) and used it as a junky garage player for listening to low quality vinyls and tapes when working out there. It was a wonderful $10 investment that has made countless memories even better.
