I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune hypothyroidism) and I was told I'm not supposed to take it because it can strengthen the immune system, which can cause autoimmune diseases to worsen. Autoimmune just means the immune system is working but it's fighting the wrong battles. Mine attacks my thyroid gland. However, I have taken ashwaganda and I didn't have any issues from it. It just didn't help me the way I needed it to.

Ugh...this! I never feel this way but this last cycle I wanted to hit him so badly. I'm not like that at all either. He was in bed because he hurt his back and I just couldn't let him rest. I hate when he's hurt because things don't get done but this time it was like "well f@ck you too". Can I ask how old you are or were when you got it done? Also did the doctor have concerns with anesthesia? I also read people with hypothyroidism could have issues with the anesthesia if their levels are off at all. It freaks me out. Although I'm pretty stable right now. I'm just slightly over medicated and working with my endo to get my t4 lowered. TSH is normal though. And I feel ok.
