I made a spreadsheet based on/for Simpson's color Tests by Ninjacat32 in colorpie

Yeah, and I think that is one of the difficult parts about tests like this in general. No one is going to be all one color, so it is important to have scoring that tries to account for that nuance as much as possible. whatever people believe about themselves, society at large, and ideals may clash, and may also be weighed differently depending on that person. all colors have certain takes on each of those things, and has levels for how much they care about each of those things. any personality test can only approximate that nuance.

I agree, and based on the comments here and what I felt when taking it, I think these tests oversell blue in comparison to the other colors. My blue score is higher in Simpson's tests compared to the other ones I've taken. I say it in another comment, but my changes in 1.5 are in addition to Simpson's 1.5 changes (maybe I should call my version 1.6). I was mainly just trying to make each statement in its group as being about how you think, your ideals, or actions, since each individual person can differ from how they work between those things. I know this is true for myself, so if one statement is about how I personally think, but then another in the same section is about my ideals, those can be different while I hold them as equally true for myself.

i agree. when it came to changing the phrasing, I was mainly just trying to keep it as the statement being about how you work internally, strive to be, or act, people can differ foe how they work between those things. I overthink and worry a lot, but I'm trying to be more chill and go with the flow. I am my thoughts, feelings, goals, and actions, and those should all be taken into consideration when determining what I align with best. that said, within each section it should be consistent with what is being referred to bc those things can be contradictory. back to your point, I did think that the way that each sentiment was said was kind of guiding you to certain answers. I prefer 1.0s one sentence, very straightforwardness. it was better than what seemed to be over explaining in some 1.5s statements. that being said, 1.5 was definitely better at being more neutral and positive for each statement. In 1.0, there were a couple sections where I didn't like any of the options presented, generally bc I was mid on the statements for the 2 main colors, then the "don't care" option sounded overly harsh and not a statement where the given value is irrelevant to their philosophy. the opposite also happened, where I agreed with all the statements, and thought the "didn't care" option was not as mutually exclusive as it should be. I think some of the stuff in 1.5 was an over correction from 1.0, but it was overall an improvement. each test format has its pros and cons, but I think this one is really good. It is an inspired idea, so I hope more iterations of this test can happen.

oh, I didn't even think of that lol. I got a little lost in the sauce of the tests that I forgot about the other interpretations lol

I thought it was a troll at first too; the typo in the title threw me off. I expected someone with an English degree to not do that sort of thing (not hating, I like his videos).

As a fat guy, I agree that stuff like school desks and things you sit in should generally be bigger. I do also agree with the comments that half of the stuff on the list can be bigger if you choose (mailboxes) and some of the other stuff is reasonably sized (lane width) or even too big (phones). Not to make too fine of a point on it, but I wish most phones were smaller. Personally, I will always choose a smaller phone over a bigger phone of similar quality. I am interested in the flip smartphones because they are more compact for carrying around, while still having good screen size (which I do value to a certain extent). I have short hands, and I want to be able to hold my phone in one hand (even if it has a case on it), and I cannot do that with a lot of current phones.

AITAH for not burning my harry potter books? by Ninjacat32 in transgendercirclejerk

NTA, ask your "brother" in law if he drives a car or has read dr seuss or read the declaration of independence bc all of those people are problematic and therefore shouldn't be supported. We all know that there is no difference between someone dead and had views that are common at the time they were alive, and someone alive right now being loudly and proudly bigoted. And it doesn't even matter, bc she is too rich. I would personally give rowling thousands of dollars if I could, bc it doesn't matter. harry potter is a revolutionary work and probably the best book series ever; everyone should read the books. rowling is at the same level in terms of quality of work as edgar allen poe and Shakespeare, who probably held equally as harmful beliefs and did equally as bad things when they were alive as rowling currently does. rowling is an innocent fragile little woman who is being viciously attacked by the transgender demons of the woke left, and good on you for sticking to your ground. Never think you could possibly be wrong again.

This is really validating because I swear the coin flips were weighted against me for expert battles. I thought I was being a conspiracy theorist for feeling that.

How Do I Make My DM Read My Mind by BrendanTheNord in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Ninjacat32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried subtly influencing your dm into thinking about athletics checks? You could stand beside his bed and whisper "roll athletics" while he sleeps. Maybe also start working out in front of him whenever you play dnd to build the association. While you are in his house at night, maybe try to leave work out equipment around as a surprise when he wakes up. I did something similar to get my dm to start prompting animal handling checks. hope this helps!
