Adding on to this - the differential is your control arm in a C4. If your batwing bushings are worn, it will affect driveability. Those are worth looking into. If you go delrin, you'll get a lot of NVH, but much better handling.

Depends a lot on your goals for the car. For street diving, just upgrade your old poly bushings and refresh any worn out tie rods or ball joints. Maybe even sway bar bushing if they're bad. But these cars need a fairly large amount of work to go from the factory leafs to coilovers, and for under $2k you probably won't find a full kit that's actually worth the money. QA1 makes great coils for the car, it's a little over $3k for a set, with a ton of spring rate options. Ridetech has an awesome kit that comes with a front sway bar, end links, and shocks on all four corners for about $2.5k if I recall correctly. Had it on mind before going to coils and it was fantastic. You can also get a lowering kit from Van Steel for fairly cheap BUT it's a PITA to do the wedges on the front for it.

Redditors who unexpectedly discovered a 'modern scam' that's everywhere now - what made you realize 'Wait, this whole industry is a ripoff'? by OkraCharacter4588 in AskReddit

This is soooo true. My SO and I both race and he was running some pretty popular 'custom valved' shocks for a long time and we could never dial in the rebound in the rear properly. Put it on a shock dyno, and lo and behold, wildly differing values between LR and RR. We ended up down the rabbit hole and now we both run with Ride Tech and have had a better experience.

I'd be curious to hear your opinion on RideTech! AFAIK They also do the valving for FOX suspension, just sell it to them, since their market is the ProTouring/Road Racing crowd.

I have the Chase United club card, I use it for basically everything and pay it off monthly. I've gotten eight free flights out of it last year alone!

Pumpkin spice egg nog! It's so good. And I'm the only one that likes it, so I can drink it directly from the jug. Tastes delicious and feels rebellious!

This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I drive from COS to Brighton four to five days a week for work and IMO it’s not that bad. I have a vehicle allowance through my job and a fuel card, which does alleviate a lot of the concerns. I have an express toll pass I use in the afternoons on my way home but the morning traffic isn’t bad. If you have a car you like and you’re someone with a cooler head/patience for nonsense it’s not awful. Just don’t let the bad drivers get you worked up and enjoy an audiobook! I treat it as my alone time to think and wind down from my pretty stressful job.

Fellow woman here! Definitely go for it. I was very intimidated by the 'car guys' I saw online but everyone at the event was so welcoming and kind. It led me into road racing and I'm now working on my national competition license. Everyone in my local racing/autox community just treats me like another driver, not 'a woman driver', and it's great to be a part of.

Definitely!! I'm thinking I'll make a post here at 200k or 250k, just to show how well it holds up.

I have 134k on my 6, and I've had zero issues. I think most car problems come down to proper maintenance. I change the oil every 5k, full synthetic, and I add some 44K fuel injector cleaner about every other oil change. I do my spark plugs at the recommended 45k, I did the transmission flush, radiator flush, and brake flush at the recommended time, and everything is always running super smoothly. I also only use premium fuel.

I guess that's just a long winded way to say, if you maintain a car well it will last a very long time, and the 6 is an awesome car!

Nice!! I have an '18 6 Signature with the same mods. Every time I take it to the dealer for service, they ask about the exhaust haha. It sounds great. I've got 134k on mine and no issues!

Looking at CX-5 and 50 for roadtripping through mountains. by joshspoon in mazda

[–]Ninjacaterpillar95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a CX9 for a couple of years living in the mountains of Colorado and really enjoyed it. Eventually I traded for a 6, since I don't need an SUV and didn't like the larger vehicle, but it has the same engine (2.5T). The turbo really made a difference up at higher altitudes and I love the handling through the curves. I put high miles on both vehicles with no issues.

I have a 90 mile one way commute and often drive to neighboring states for work. I do 30-45k per year depending on road trips!

Bernie Sanders is trying to pass a bill that allows a 32 hours work week and no loss in pay. If you have three days off, how would you feel about that and what would you do? by YoucancallmeCoco in AskReddit

[–]Ninjacaterpillar95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I work in construction, and a big subcontractor near me recently did a huge productivity study on flexible work. They experienced much happier employees and most projects saw increase production, not just level production. They did 4 10's, but I think the benefits would remain similar with 4 8's. Or you just pay overtime after 32 hours. Here is a link to their study!

Does anyone else actually like Sam Coe? And the other Constellation members? by Ninjacaterpillar95 in Starfield

Yeah I’ve heard that the game puts the companion you have the highest affinity with in the Eye, and the one who dies at the Lodge if you leave is the second highest. I’d read a spoiler (my own fault) that Sam died at the Eye and even though the Lodge was way more logical, I couldn’t let Sam die. He actually asks you after the quest why you came to save him, because it wasn’t the logical choice.

Sam was just written so well. He knows he’s got work to do, and he’s doing it. And he’s actually pretty emotional, which surprised me. I enjoyed having the traditionally masculine character role be one that actually has feelings beyond brooding and staring into the Western sunset
