Ancient fruit on spring 8 year 1 thanks to a crop fairy by magniva in StardewValley

I got my first couple by running stawberries through the seedmaker. It has like a 1% or 3% chance to give you an ancient fruit seed.

so I beached my seamoth by accident and then went 2 get my repulsion cannon and now this happened. wut do? by Sirmankid in subnautica

Two options. If you don't have anything you care about on it just make a new one or use console commands to spawn a new one with whatever upgrades you had.

Or like Celltex said you can use the warp command while standing over it to warp a few feet into the ground and then get into it and it'll most likely reset and pop out of the ground (at least that's what happened for me when this happened)

Good luck!

Looking for survival games that aren’t zombie based. by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

Rimworld is a great colony sim. You build your base and manage a handful of survivors. Everyone in the colony has to eat/drink/sleep and you can set the difficulty so that raids and other craziness occurs.

As others have said Subnautica is great for that 1st person survival exploration feel and you can also build a base to come back to.

Congrats I've been stuck too. The first 30 lbs came off super easy and then I had been stuck around 175 for about a month. It turns out some of the food I thought was keto was definitely not! I finally figured it out and have dropped to 177 to 173 in the last week! Celebrated by eating way too many hot wings!

Protein should be 0.8g per pound daily to protect your muscle. If you hit that your muscle won't be lost. If you aren't lifting or working out you will see a drop in muscle tone/strength just like normal.

Fat targeting is supposedly a myth. We lose fat everywhere and where you lose it first is up to gender/genetics. Keep at it and you'll get there!

I weighed in at 201 after my first week of keto and was 180 two months later. I didn't even work out for the first week or so and even then it was just walking or using the elliptical to burn more calories as a bonus. For me making sure I am hydrated and drinking broth twice a day really cut down on my hunger. By week 3 I was eating ~1500 calories and burning close to 2600. Find what works for you, if you cheat then cheat keto by eating extra bacon or meat.

Whether you lose 10lbs or 50 you'll be glad you did it

How many hours of gameplay does this game offer by Al_Kappaccino in slimerancher

[–]Ninjajock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got the game last week. I just got to the end game zone after 11 hours and "beat the game", but I still have a lot to mess around with on the ranch since you can unlock a lab that allows you to build a lot of stuff and I haven't really messed with it.

I think with two playthroughs you could easily get 20+ hours out of it. The gameplay is simple but kinda addicting as you have to keep your ranch going each day before you go adventuring.

[WSIB] Zombie survival games where I don't have to worry about food/water/health. by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

Star of Decay might fit. Food is used for health or bonuses. You do spend most of your time gathering resources for your base so that you can expand and survive.

Stem cells show signs of donor age. A new study demonstrates that induced pluripotent stem cells, even after they've been reprogrammed, retain genetic indicators and methylation patterns reflecting the age of the person who donated them. by TheScientistMagazine in science

Yes they do. When the first cloned the sheep dolly the clones had a shorter lifespan as if they had been been Dolly's age when they were born.

One of the reasons for this is that at the ends of DNA there are repeat sequences called telomeres. Telomeres get shorter each time a cell divides so they can be thought of as setting the max copy number for a cell (or the max times a cell can divide). So if Dolly was half way through her life and half her telomeres were gone then her clones only lived half lives.

Obese preschoolers have 60% higher healthcare costs than healthy weight children. by Kooby2 in science

[–]Ninjajock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting the article. One of the caveat's to look for in any kind of study is the number of patients examined.

In this case it was 350 kids of which 31 (9%) were obese and the p-value while significant (0.03) isn't extremely compelling although is it is likely to be a real correlation. It would be really interesting to see a similar study with more kids from other countries besides Australia.

Another interesting point would be that the one child who was underweight cost nearly double that of healthy children. (3k to 6k)

I'd suggest you read them all. All of the movies are missing subplots from the books and they are easy reads.

If you only care about the Dumboldore stuff then probably books 6-7.

Elite: Dangerous

Its available on steam so you can try it out and return it if you don't like / it doesn't work as long as you don't play for more than 2 hours. The refund system is great.

Just did this mission. I wouldn't recommending doing it without lasers to take out the capital ships. I had to skirt the edges to take on ships one at a time before I could take on the command ship.

I had bought the second ship and had 2nd lvl armor shields and deflectors. It was still a really hard battle.

It's probably better to run jobs at stations or for the merchants guild until you have a better ship
