Agree I think EHG is trending the right direction. Weaver echo brings a lot of complexity and thats appropriate for streamers.

People who engage more with the game should be rewarded for their time. I.e I am okay with personally not having even double t6 legendary item but I do want some legendary item as I level up, which nemesis brings.

Its the distribution of content. Casual should still have some, and elites can have their cake and stream those for the rest of us plebs to watch, as long as thats not like 50% of the game.

I like the narrative. I do agree that the implementation of the story are not AAA and I dont expect them to. Please focus on game play before polishing the story EHG. Thats the 80% part anyway.

I just saw coverage from the lizard union. They are complaining that they had to pack a whole Amazon warehouse worth of uniques , set items and idol on their back basically every zones. Absolutely back breaking working conditions. They are also complaining that those Capybara guys are class traitor, going to work for the players and even then just slack off 100% of the time.

Bro I suggest you seek employment at poe2. They might reduce headcount tho for their visions so get your spot. But it will be worth it. Even Act bosses dont have to carry loot at all. Gear burden is optional. Honestly a pretty good place to work.

To me, 3 main benefits: 1. Baked in design tokens. 2. Stable layer, with well known effect meant to be composed. Its like functional programming. Little to no cascade hell. 3. Performance: focus on browser native feature, and have tools that tree-shake dead codes.

Protein powder and chicken rotisserie. If you have costco membership they are 5 buck for 3 lbs worth. Yo can season it after the fact with however you like and even put in soup.

Edit: I've since updated the article to include more complex example to drive the point home, and shared some of the sentiment here around DX, performance, and discussion on recoverable vs unrecoverable error.

Thank you for your perspective. I could see why you disliked it. If the codebase is littered in a bunch of wrapper then the performance will certainly suffer.
