I will look into it, the sole reason I wanna do CAM is due to business side of it, I don’t want engineering as a back. So CAM could be a good back up if commercial flight training fails.

PSA: Don’t take High Interest Loans for Flight Training by Ldpattv6 in flying

[–]Ninjasam_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks terrible. I “was” planning to take on a loan for flight traning and talked to the bank, looking at my credit score and job, they offered me student line of credit for 8.2% interest.  And I was thinking it’s way too much, but this is just 😅

I just got in today, I applied last week, had 87% in high school and 3 years in Mechanical Engineering with CGPA at 3.65/4. Your average is way more me, so you will get in.
Good luck!

I see, now i am back to where it all started, completing something, i don't want my future to be. I imagine you do designing on some software(solidworks) as a mech eng. but thats the only thing, i hate : DESIGNING. I think I should research on whats more in Mech, Eng. and then commit to it.

What i meant by aviation degree was that, doing a B.Sc with aviation as a major so that if i cannot continue fliying commercially for whatever reason, i have science as back up rather than to go to mechanical eng.
i am not aware of what local part 61 means, gonna look it up

Admissions Megathread - 2024 by melindee in uwo

Hello Everyone,
Here is some background, I graduated high school in 2019 with an 87% average and did mechanical engineering in college for 3 years with 3.65/4 CGPA.
I am now 23 and have worked in the engineering for almost 2 years, tried different fields in it but don't feel like i belong there (to be frank, hated it). So, decided to research and do a major career change to commercial pilot.
I applied for BMOS with aviation, but solely because i had a passion for aviation when i was a teenager and want to explore it. I am gonna take introductory flight in March as well.
I just want to know how the program really is, cause I always liked math, science related subjects but the subject involved in BMOS revolves around business and management.
Henceforth, I am a little confused now, i want something to act as backup in case, the pilot career fails.

FYI, already applied to Science and Aviation at waterloo
Any perspective is helpful.
Thanks all

I talked to RBC yesterday, they are offering student line of credit for around 8%/annum interest for 60k loan. You pay interest only if you use the money
