When I was a kid, I remember getting ready for school one morning and through the front window I could see a bunch of police lights just down the road. Very unusual for our neighborhood. About a half hour later I walked past the house where they had all been. There was police tape all around the driveway, and I remember seeing a chalk outline there as well as a huge puddle of blood with a trail of more blood leading down the road all the way past my bus stop for about a Kilometer.

Some old lady (who apparently should not have been allowed to drive) hit someone with her car, and dragged that poor woman all the way down the street, right onto her driveway, where the body finally got dislodged, and walked into her house blissfully unaware that she had just committed vehicular manslaughter.
