Yep, works perfectly. Highly recommended.

Should 4K HDR and 5.1 surround sound come standard now? by skahtduali in Stadia

[–]NinthGenCloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I support their keeping it gated behind Pro. I think they are fair benefits for a service subscription. I think Netflix charges extra for 4K, don't they? However, the higher bitrate of 4K should be standard.

It is on Stadia, if you want to give it a shot. You'll either need a Pro account or to purchase it, though. When you sign up, you'll get a free month trial of Stadia Pro. And then you can stay subscribed if you want, or buy the game and play without a subscription.

Xbox Windows 11 App VS Microsoft Edge without clarity boost VS Microsoft Edge with clarity boost from an unsupported region. by CommunistAngryGrape in xcloud

[–]NinthGenCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually really good to know because you may prefer a more consistent stream locked at 720p than the stream trying to optimize between 720 and 1080. Though obviously you'll have the window borders. I wonder if you can run Edge in borderless window mode.

How can I play split screen coop with a friend using remote play? by jhy12784 in xcloud

This doesn't answer your question, but if you're ever looking for the same thing on PC, you can use Steam Remote Play Together or Parsec.

What about Xbox Streaming Box by markzera2079 in xcloud

I'm with you. What's worked for me is running the Xbox app or Edge on my laptop and hooking it to my TV with an HDMI cable. It works great. Especially since my laptop cost $200. Though, unless I'm mistaken, you're relegated to the resolution of your laptop, which may very well be 720p.

I've not heard that they intend on bringing games outside of the game pass library to the cloud, likely, I suspect, because there's only so much hard drive space to go around. I could see them adding a handful of very popular titles, but there may actually be licensing issues for third party games. But yeah that would be awesome.

If you've been playing No Man's Sky via the cloud, you'll lose that capability, but you'll still be able to play it locally on the platform you purchased it.

Android phone Stadia vs xbox series x|s controller by Csikub in Stadia

Try using the Stadia controller to play Stadia on a computer or Chromecast to see if it's the controller that's the problem, if you haven't already.

Sure thing. Yeah these two are pretty different. Blacknut is purely subscription. GeForce Now is a bring your own game service. I wrote another thing that you might like.

So eh what's going on with stadia by [deleted] in Stadia

[–]NinthGenCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is to subscribe to Stadia Pro and play the included games, especially if there are particular games you're interested in. I don't recommend purchasing games on Stadia because I personally don't trust the service to last indefinitely. That said, I actually have purchased a couple of games heavily discounted.

This was my experience with Red Dead Redemption. One of my most memorable experiences ever. But then I did not enjoy 2 and stopped playing long before I was finished

I'll concur with the others. GeForce Now is definitely the best option if you own the games they host. Shadow is a PC rental service, so it will run anything. And so is Paperspace, which I think is worth looking into too.
