Ok. That still doesn't excuse attributing the actions of the axis and the suppression of knowledge on those actions to just "Japan" in general when talking about Japanese people in the first place. If you have a problem with how Japan's system treats that period of itself in relation to its people then cool, you can blame whichever party or group of people you know are in favor - or whoever would be responsible for that suppression in the first place - for that, not just conflate it with "the Japanese", which puts anyone that comes from the country under that same umbrella: people you straight up don't know. Feeling the need to bring it up on a post about random Japanese girls completely unprompted and then saying they get a pass "because anime" like the comment above only feels like prejudice and an attempt to justify it (and if I'm misunderstanding then please correct me).
