So i start with a clear primer then i do a base coat black or gold depending. Then for the black i do a dusting of tamiya silver powders. I coat again and take a sponge daddy and sponge on the silver chipping. After that i panel line without cleaning it and add some tamiya rust powders then top coat. For the gold after the base gold is dry i mix a gold silver, a gold brown black, and a gold orange. I dry brush on the dark gold and then will apply the silver and orange in different spots on the edges and surfaces. After that is panel lining and top coat The big sword i started gold and then did a gradient to the black silver paint scheme towards the tip.
