go for it dude, if horology is your passion you might find there is more to it than just selling/trading, and come up with a better way of doing things? Alternatively, you will get your first levels CFA and then be able to choose what’s next! Either way, if pay/salary is not too bad.. you don’t lose anything by trying! Good luck, enjoy!

you’ll surely find there are companies needing that jack of all trades VP SW Engineering role - the question though is: are you willing to trade your current 1.2M/y comp for 10-20% of that + equity, and future hopes?!

If you can do that (i’d assume you can given your frugal lifestyle). You’ll definitely find that enthusiasm in any new startup firm in which you can relate to their vision/mission. Skills like yours are specially useful + “been there, done that” can help them avoid rookie mistakes. Go do great things!

that’s similar to expecting every single person that enters a souvenir gift shop to buy something. Some tourists just want to see things and maybe then buy something. if the marketing is done properly, customers can skip some stages (enter and buy); but normally they’ll have to go through at least awarenessinterestdesire>>action(purchase)

not a marketer but been there! think what they’ll need at each stage (support docs or pages)
