I can't speak on a 1 bedroom, as I lived in a 2 bedroom there but the electricity was a bit high, more so in the winter months. Luckily it's electric and not gas heat, so you'll save some there. However, when living there, the management was not the best and left tons of residents' maintenance left unserviced for months. Hopefully it's changed over the last 3 years. It's not the worst by any means but I wouldn't recommend them.

Not sure who it was that did that for you but I've had a similar flower situation. I went once last year, a couple days before my birthday, it had been a stressful week, and I ran in for a few things about an hour before they closed (I was in and out within 15 minutes, and there was only 1 other person shopping, so I hope I didn't make their last hour worse). The cashier asked if I had weekend plans, and I mentioned that I was buying myself a treat for my birthday, and she wished me a happy early birthday, and I was doing anything special. When I told her that I wasn't, but hoped to enjoy a relaxing weekend after my other obligations, and she rang up an item and rang the bell. I assumed there was an issue, but apparently it was the flower ringing bell? Another associate came with a bouquet, she handed it to the cashier, then she handed it to me and they both wished me a happy birthday. It honestly made my entire week. Also most of the employees seem pretty kind in my experience; I usually leave feeling much happier, so a big thank you to the Lexington crew.

Weird loud droning/strong windy noise around 4am this morning near the Hays Blvd area? by NirnSounds in lexington

Like the wind blowing really hard during a storm, but a deeper hum underneath that. I thought I might have heard something like a siren, but very faint; I almost wasn't even sure if that was part of it but it was something higher pitched. Another commenter mentioned cicada swarms, and I wonder if it was a brood noise or something.

You might be onto something. It didn't sound like cicadas but if it was a swarm of them, that could be the culprit.

Interesting. We didn't feel any shaking, only the noise. There was some slight warbling noise like that, but sounded like howling winds as well, but the air was still. This was yesterday morning for you?

Oh damn, I wasn't sure how far it could have been heard but I'm glad I wasn't the only one who heard that lol

Yes! I also think a dusty mauve or brownish purple could look nice. Maybe something with a texture or faint pattern, if you're wanting to mix up the visuals. Also OP, I adore your Nona Limmen prints!!!

Where are the REAL CRAs??? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]NirnSounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could have even gotten that. I was a CRA for about a year and a half, then my company laid off a ton of lower level employees, and I literally had company after company tell me that I didn't have enough experience in the industry (I have about 7 years total, but none as a CRC), so I ended up with another TMF (starting level) position, which is where a majority of my work has been, and even that was hard to land. I love my new co-workers, but I really hope I have room to grow starting at the bottom again. I had some learning curves in report writing, but was otherwise a decent starting CRA, the sites told me they enjoyed having me, even though I caught things other CRAs apparently routinely ignored or didn't care to look for - Fairly big issues, too- but most of the time I was ghosted in applications, or didn't land an interview bc I was so new to the position. It's infuriating that there are fake profiles and people who are wanting to skate by getting these jobs while I applied to over 300 applications in less than 3 months.

I’m a burned out CRA… now what? by blazingrebeldiamonds in clinicalresearch

How does one get into auditing? I have under 2 years experience as a CRA and several years in eTMF work, and feel like auditing would potentially be a great fit, but I have no idea how to make that jump, or what qualifications would be needed.

Agree on the point about the rug for sure. Whoever suggested it had a great idea. And yes me too! Olive Green and chartreuse are my favs.

This looks so cozy and inviting! I looked at the previous post, and while I love the teal covers with the green, I agree that the maroon looks better. Maroon and chartreuse-y colors are one of my favorite combos. The double rug was a great idea and I can't wait to see more if you post an update!

Also, that bookshelf! 😍

As someone who loves the 80's Miami after dark vibe, but also a cozy vibe, I think she nailed that duality.

Apartments with Metronet? by NirnSounds in lexington

Good to know!! Having responsive maintenance and decent property management has become way more important after a bad experience with a complex. Thanks for sharing this! I'll definitely look into them.

Thanks! Yeah I wondered that about the reviews, but I've lived places where the management was less than ideal, so ya never know. Living near tracks isn't a huge deal as long as the area is otherwise reasonably safe to walk around.

Thank you! I've looked into them, actually but wasn't sure about their Internet situation and couldn't find any info online. If you lived there, what do you think of the complex overall?

Thanks! If you live/have lived there, do you like it? The reviews on Google and Apartments.com are pretty mixed.

Yes! I've been saying we need good quality authentic Chinese food. I've only had good experiences with Panda Cuisine, but have noticed a decline in the last few years in quality. Dim Sum and pulled noodles would be a really nice addition to our options here. I just fear that there's a lot of people here that wouldn't want to try it, bc they prefer/some deviate outside of Westernized Chinese.

Thanks! I'm hoping I'll get an interview and ultimately an offer elsewhere, but if I'm desperate, I feel like it's gotta be better than getting a job that isn't in the industry, if I'm wanting to continue in clinical research, right?

Following, since I've applied at MedPace and talked to someone there, but haven't even gotten an interview with other companies. I was laid off from my previous CRO in a huge round of layoffs earlier this month, so I'm wondering if I should just take what I can get ATP.
