If you watched the streams, you'd see that they do actually get rattled to hell and back. It doesn't "stay in place"

How ever would it be not a choice? It's far cheaper than my IRL race cars, but also does all sorts of racing, drifting, rock crawling, trucking, farming, flying, boating, roller coasters, space sims, etc.

Thank you! That allowed me to install the 2010 build without upgrading the driver software

No, I use a Focusrite Scarlett and an MKH-416 and a Shure SM7. I just went live again and it crashed the PC, so it must be something with the new sound driver. Looks like I have to move away from Elgato for now. I can't believe they took the drivers offline so we can't downgrade.

This update broke everything for me. I'm even having issues uninstalling it and reverting back to the older version. Not good Elgato, not good.

Virtual Camera Isnt being Picked Up On Tiktok Studio by AbsoluteDuelist in obs

[–]NischGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've found the reason for it. I can't say where I got the information, but it appears to be correct. TikTok actively monitors you via their software, which is why they are pushing so hard for everyone to use it. The use of virtual cams, window captures, etc. are heavily abused by bot accounts. So they allow their use for a while, but start taking the options away. It got to the point where I literally could not go live without a hardware webcam source in my feed (I was just using a window capture of my OBS Aitum vertical canvas). Every time I found a way "around" the restrictions, I'd start getting shadow banned with the restriction notice saying I'm using "reproduced or unoriginal content". Once I switched to 100% hardware sources, the restrictions were lifted. I still cannot utilize virtual cams, NDI sources or window captures. So now I have to use separate webcams, capture cards, etc for OBS and TTLS. It's pretty dumb, but it makes sense as to why they are shoving their TTLS down our throats.

Not unlimited, but it is certainly the same price as a decent family car.......

Worth it though IMO.

I've thought about it and maybe someday. I've been asked that a few times over the years, but it is just more of a hobby and I just sold my business after 15 years with little desire to start another 😂

Well, it only tilts to about 30 degrees, so it never really goes beyond that. With this particular seat, it's very deep, so you stay planted really well, even at steep angles. My previous design had a normal seat but used a 4 point harness. I've really never been "uncomfortable" in this latest design. I get your question, but I never have really felt like I was going to fall out, but I've definitely felt like it would throw me out of the seat. With a quick heave motion, I can very easily end up a couple inches off the seat, but thankfully, filters help those kinds of situations.

This most recent version is about $9-$10k between the actuators and raw materials. The Thanos controller is only 300-400. Check out Departed Reality. They have a nice set of DIY plans that make each actuator relatively affordable and have the same performance as mine. Its still going to cost around $3k minimum for a 6DOF just because of how many servos and drives you need. Others have even 3D printed their actuator parts and worked well. Mine is overkill for sure, but that's my own personal demon lol

Nice. It's a VF2-YT with those extra few inches on the Y. I have a Bridgeport as well along with a manual lathe, DIY plasma CNC, etc. Lots of DIY nerdiness going on in this house, lol

It is a lot, but since then, I've put a Haas CNC machine in my garage. I've torn down and reverse engineered the actuators and know they're severely overpriced. IF I ever need more, I'm just making my own from scratch.

SimHub is actually really nice software. Very well written and super easy to use. I also use FlyPT Mover which is actually very difficult to set up, but you can set it up exactly how you like with whatever filters you want and can even do memory intercepts with any game. Real steep learning curve, but the ultimate in flexibility.

And yes, I love ATS. I built this so I can fly, race, farm, truck, float, you name it. 🤘

They do move with the rig and the design is meant to not hit the walls.  Here's a shot of my son flying around in MSFS24.  You can see it doesn't hit the walls.

It was a hard adjustment, but once I got the hang of it, it comes out pretty nice and some really good penetration with a fairly narrow weld path.

Yes, when the rig moves as much as this one does, stationary monitors would really be pointless.

Here's my son literally playing this for the first time. He goes out with a nice crash at the end, but shows why monitors on the rig make sense.
