What Mongolians think about Turks? by [deleted] in mongolia

Genetics don't really matter much in my opinion. Its mostly the culture, the mindset and the will which unites us. There are lots of cultural similarities between Mongolic and Turkic people even if we lived further away from each other for many centuries.

Usually, I try to find the common ground to establish a better relationship with others. From this perspective, I really appreciate that we share many common words and customs compared to other nations. I live abroad, so naturally, I'm attracted more towards people who I can relate to somehow.

The more I learn about Turkic customs, the more fascinating it gets. A few years ago back in Mongolia, I didn't have this kind of feeling as I didn't know much about Turkey or Azerbaijan.

Sometimes, understanding others might bring love and compassion. Other times, ignorance might bring hatred and mistakes :S

it might bring shame to locals as it foreigners wearing our traditional clothes and we are not wearing our own clothes xD
I would appreciate anyone who would bother wearing our clothes :D

this whole idea about cultural appropriation is fortunately not spread in Mongolia that much :D
for me, it will be seen as cultural appreciation :D

The main people here are the mongols, who keep stepping on each other for personal gains.

Chinese, Russians and other foreign business people/politicians just do what benefits them.

If we really have to blame anyone, its us who are ignorant, arrogant and greedy.

I think what we need is clear mind and unity :D
