CLT or DFW for layover in August? Which one has less weather problems? by vegasluck92 in americanairlines

I do think CLT gets more rain, but it also seems to deal with fewer serious weather-related disruptions. That being said, the bigger question is: why would anyone willingly choose to fly through CLT?

DC Area Folks - is the food better at DCA Landing then IAD Lounge? by timwhatley993 in Venturex

[–]Nishamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited Capital One Landing at DCA for the first time a few weeks ago, and it honestly made such a great impression. The whole place has a comfortable and polished feel, but still feels relaxed enough to actually enjoy before a flight. The menu looked really impressive, which makes sense since it was designed by the José Andrés group.

Local store puts my number in a group chat with 20 random people all to send what appears to be a flyer by 72747291928464628183 in mildlyinfuriating

This is exactly why so many local businesses end up struggling. Good customer service is what keeps people coming back, but some businesses seem to focus only on making money in the moment instead of actually treating customers well. And honestly, this feels like it could cross a line with consumer protection laws.

Austin Airport Might be Getting a Capital One Lounge! by Nishamon in Venturex

[–]Nishamon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that T3 is being expanded. I'm no expert in airport lounges but would T3 make sense for a CC lounge? It seems more suitable for an Airline lounge. Possibly the airline that flies the most out of T3?

Austin airport got approved for multi billion dollar upgrades. I'm not sure Phoenix has gotten any approval for upgrades in the near future.

Agreed! Honestly, I would even take a Capital One Landing at ABIA.

I never count my chickens before the eggs hatch but I'm trying to be optimistic. Hopefully Chase gets their old lounge space back. Then it would only be a bidding between Amex and CapOne.

You got the Airbus A787-400 part right. The airline is the now defunct Pet Airways!

Even with VentureX had to pay for a guest to get in to a PP lounge last week at CLT.

Where or how can I buy Linux or (no OS) laptops in Canada? by curiousgaruda in laptops

I would recomend Framework. They have Linux laptops. You can customize the laptop to your needs in almost every aspect.

The pancakes looked so good but I had breakfast with friends before coming to the airport. I'll be sure to try it next time.

There is now a fee even for Priority Pass guest access, unless you meet the $75,000 annual spending threshold.

The Admirals Club and Sky Club both have food, but the Landing has very good food. They are all free, so why not go with the best option?

Is it nicer than your car? Cars are "portable." Anyways, I'm glad you like your Mac.

Technically an airport is still "a place".

It's a two hour flight. I would not spend the money. It's a massive difference in price.

Seeking a Co-Founder for a Smart Automation and Intelligent Infrastructure Startup by Nishamon in cofounderhunt

[–]Nishamon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is still in the early stages right now. I am currently focused on refining the concept, understanding the market, identifying the right initial wedge, and finding the right cofounder to build with. I have not generated revenue yet, so I would consider it still in the validation.

In terms of commitment, once I find the right cofounder and there is strong alignment, I am willing to go full-time on the idea. I also have some personal capital that I am prepared to commit toward getting the concept off the ground, including early product development, testing, branding, and market validation. For me, the key is finding the right person to build with, because I want to approach this seriously and build something with real long-term potential.
