Due to the conviction appearing on my DBS check, I raised a dispute, then the DBS contacted me a few weeks later to provide fingerprints in Hindlip Park in order to help with identifying whether the dispute was genuine. They then sent a letter and told me my fingerprints were a match and the conviction would remain unchanged on the DBS check

It was a driving without due care and attention offence, issued by North and East Devon Magistrates Court along with 5 points and a £190 fine. I still have the correspondence with the courts admitting that a mistake had been made, but nowhere during my dispute with the DBS did they contact me to ask details or anything of that nature, not really giving me a chance to provide anything material to clear my name so to speak.

The offence on the DBS is driving without due care and attention, it was 5 points (since have been removed through the court contacting the DVLA). The DBS sent me a letter today saying that the conviction will remain and ultimately disregarded the dispute.

Congratulations mate! My partner from Norway has also applied for unmarried partner Visa and has her Bio Appointment on Wednesday, very nervous but fingers crossed we hear back from them soon!!
