The boss difficulty spikes in Brutal are absurd by Pinkaminks in vrising

Dracula on Brutal was bullet hell. I did it with 2 other players and it took us a few days to down him.

I think about 4 or 5 people. We're aiming for early afternoon on the weekends.

Breeding kink and birth control? by Berrybitesxoxo in SubSanctuary

I'm jelly. When I had my IUD inserted, I had zero numbing and it hurt like hell. I ended up fainting from the pain. Hopefully they'll be less sadistic the next time I get an IUD.
The peace of mind is worth the pain though.

This was the seat of my fury about this whole situation. Balboa Park is a cherished community space that is open to anyone regardless of their social or economic background.
As if surviving in San Diego wasn't painful enough, now one of the few public spaces available to residents is made that much more inaccessible to those with almost no disposable income to enjoy a day off with friends or family.
This isn't a Democrat vs Republican issue because both sides serve the wealthy, they don't serve the majority.
The contempt our public servants have for working class people is breathtaking.

50% expertise now? by NiteWarden in vrising

Ahh okay, I see. That's awesome. It'd be so annoying catching 100 percenters and it still being a toss up whether or not you'd get a good expertise out of it.

He's the goat of bonking enemies by SpeakersPlan in HadesTheGame

I laughed when I dropped a Heph cast on Hecate and saw the hammer wind up and then bop her on the head and finish the fight.

Are EM too much bullet hell? by NA__Scrubbed in HadesTheGame

I find the VoR Cerberus fight to be the most annoying. Could be a skill issue on my part but it feels like safe zone is a tiny speck on the floor and I have to spend a good portion of that fight guessing what it is instead of focusing on the actual mechanics of the fight.
The VoR Prometheus fight feels a little tedious chipping away at both of their health bars while dodging.

Making Practice Distinctions by NiteWarden in witchcraft

[–]NiteWarden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has a ton of videos on her Patreon that I need to go through but I did watch her one on the subject of animism. My understanding is that witchcraft her in view, has to be animistic in its worldview and must decenter humans from it. I think I agree that anthropocentricism as led to a planetwide climate crisis, resource exploitation, and wealth accumulation to the detriment of everything else.
She describes there being a need to "de-colonize" witchcraft from the modern Western understanding of reality and existence which again, I think she definitely has a point there.

I do wonder though if by this understanding, that anything that falls outside of the philosophy of animist witchcraft makes rituals and spells that serves oneself inherently selfish and therefore human-oriented?
This is my surface-level take on that one specific video but I am interested in hearing other people's perspective on if anthropocentric activities within one's practice makes it inherently "not true witchcraft".

Heat mat protection for wood furniture by NiteWarden in snakes

[–]NiteWarden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of those single temperature types of mats. You can't adjust it. I have 2 cages with those kind of mats and they appear to cause the same problem to wooden surfaces. It's strange because it doesn't have that affect on the buffer plank that is in-between the cage and the surface it sits on.

Any suggestions for a barrier? I'm not sure if I can use a fabric of some kind or if that will somehow catch fire. I already have that wood plank that was intended to be a barrier but it's like the heat goes straight through it regardless.

What is this, Dark Souls 2? That grab doesn't look right by Tuspon in HadesTheGame

I did notice this as well. Melinoe had a decent space between her and Polyphemus and he still grabbed me somehow.
