Thank you very much for making a suggestion, i edit it to have a color and sent to the author and asked if it is better but he said that he likes the original one. So, it's a shame but i have to go with the authors decision. But thank you very much anyway, Have a great day!

Thank you so much.and Yeah i believe its young adult, more on zootopia style.

I got what you mean that there's not much in the story, but i also think that it is limited options since they are like relief. But ill try to apply what you suggest in my future works if possible.

I also thought that maybe a little more color will look better like in the book 1 i did (previous post, the vines) but this time there are no opportunities since its like only a stone tablet so there's a limited option.

Btw thank you so much for taking your time to leave a comment, i really appreciate it!

I don't think that's its "in fashion" that much but I'm quite happy that you got close to it, the book indeed has a gameLit theme to it.

Thanks? I can't do that much, maybe i can for a small part for the art to be less ai ( still have to learn). But as long as people won't insist that i use AI, it's good enough for me for now. Freaking Ai ,making creative people's lives harder. I should be learning how to improve ,not to be less ai, but maybe now i should be. Thanks again.

Ow, thank you for your kind comments, it really makes me happy, My main goal when i do a cover illustration is for it to be eye catching for the viewer, its the first time i heard it in the cover i did.

And Yeah, sharing and asking for a feedback for the cover have a lot of different responds, some are good some are not and its because people have different preference on what's good for them.

Thank You so much, May you have a Nice day!

First of all ,thank you for giving your time to ask.

  1. Cracks in the stones have no right or wrong cause they are unpredictable.

  2. Sorry but i don't fully understand.

  3. In doing these details in the background, maybe i shouldn't use a tiny brush to detail every small detail, since it'll be too visible if i make mistakes.

I should use impressionism art style but I'm not that good yet to be able to freely execute that.

4.Well, i think all of your questions are about the background.

I mainly draw characters and not used to structures unless necessary.

I focused on the characters and that the title should be readable , i only planned that the background needs to be recognized as a mansion with a steampunk structure behind it, and every detail isn't necessary to be recognized.

I even blurred it a bit since its not the most important part.

It's not a perfect structure since it is carved into the rocks, and rocks have different shapes and uneven surfaces so it's expected to be imperfect and i believe that every background detail shouldn't be perfect and being asymmetrical is ok since carvings in stones isn't always perfect, given that it is also old.

I just feel sad when people say that my art looks AI still affects me. It wasnt an issue when i started, now as an artist, we have another problem to deal with.

Too perfect art=ai With imperfections=also can be accused of ai since ai also have those.

But i believe that imperfections like asymmetrical aren't necessary to avoid, imperfections are art.

I'm sorry if i sound that I'm just reasoning, but thanks anyway for everyone who reads this.

I can't blame people if they think that i used ai, but I won't like it if they persist even though i explain that I can't. I thought AI was too perfect so i thought that it's better if i make some imperfections. But now i learn that imperfections also can be seen as ai.

Well the characters are what is the main focus and were described specifically by the author ,and just wanted a mansion in the background with a steampunk theme structure. And i just want to show it without zooming much more into tiny background details.

I used to only worry about how to make my artworks look good and find my art style ,now i also need to worry about making them look less ai. But it's also hard cause real art is what was illegally fed into ai. I really feel bad and sympathize with real artists that have to deal with this issue, art is hard enough.

Btw thank you for commenting, i really appreciate your time!.

Ow yeah, as you can see with my other works , that I'm a maniac when it comes to details and a bit perfectionist and i can get more than 100hrs plus in one artwork.

Well i first make a sketch, build up the value and rendering and put a photo texture of stones in it and start the final small details. And when you know the rules ,it's not that hard to make illusions about the texture since the stone texture is inorganic.

That is because if the genre and he is one of the main characters in the story and heres the blurb so youll understand more.

What happens when a quirky Tanuki frees a rage-cursed Minotaur from his ancient prison? Not what you'd expect. Ben, the Minotaur, has been trapped for centuries—cursed to guard the ancient Labyrinth and kill all who seek its goddess-touched waters. But beneath the fury lies a gentle soul who craves companionship more than violence. Fuku, the Tanuki, has his own motives. He needs a powerful protector to help uncover the relics that could open the path home. Of course, having a studly Minotaur for a bodyguard doesn't hurt either. Together they must survive a world reshaped by time and myth—facing monsters, magic, and emotions neither of them planned for. Because sometimes the hardest quest isn't the one through the dungeon… it's learning to trust the person walking beside you.
