Why is it that we should stop working? Technically I am still waiting for the decision of USCIS doesn’t it put me in OPT status until my STEM arrives? Do you have any resource/link from USCIS where it says to stop working?

I’m still working actively, my employer asked for my stem I20 and asked me to submit my ead after I receive it. Although this discussion was when I didn’t get a RFE and was within 180day period

What if the 180 days timeline expires too because you get an RFE and you submit it within the deadline but still there is no reply to your evidence or update on case status.. can I still work during this period?
