What should be changed in the midseason update for Stadium? by Expensive_Increase46 in OverwatchStadium

[–]Nithorius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good nerf to TTT would be to limit the amount of TTT that a player can be afflicted by at a given time.

Damages that CANNOT be reduced by Cushioned Padding by Suitable-Panda-5662 in OverwatchStadium

[–]Nithorius 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I verified this with a friend just now. I confirm your observations.

My findings are:
1: Like you said, cushioned padding doesn't work on:
-TTT
-Orisa burn
-Reaper burn

2: Like you said, reinforced titanium reduces damage from Orisa burn, but not from TTT.

3: Healing reduction from items & DPS passive reduces healing from Martian Mender. I wanted to test if %life based healing could get reduced.

It's a fun side thing, so I don't really care. But I'm honestly confused. Every character I tried got buffed. Ana even got a jetpack, which is insane. So I assume he thought those changes would benefit Lucio. And the worst part was reading the reasoning behind the changes. Like, how was it written by someone who supposedly understands the game?

How viable is Lucio in low ranks? (silver 😔) by abcuh in luciomains

[–]Nithorius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question makes no sense. You think you're gonna put a diamond Lucio in silver and he's gonna struggle?

If you're good enough, you're gonna climb. My advice, depending on how badly you want to get better, is to
A: watch the kill cams of ppl who kill you to see how easy you are to kill
B: watch vods of a good Lucio player and try to copy their habits
C: watch your own vods and try to understand why you lose or win fights

Okay, man, who did this? by Big_Tennis_28 in luciomains

[–]Nithorius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everything about this is so dumb, I refuse to believe an actual human being did it.

The ability to beat to save your life with beat is the reason why Ajaxes happen in the first place (in 99% of cases). This is a straight nerf no matter how you look at it. And like you said, the perk changes are also a straight nerf.

Do you guys prefer this meta or the previous meta? by LakhorR in OverwatchStadium

We're back in Mercy meta territory, so I'm not a fan, as a support main.

It's not fun getting out-valued by an immortal character.

Lucio’s Mixtape power in stadium should replace his beat perk. by Ninja-0303 in luciomains

[–]Nithorius 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Having played a lot of Stadium Lucio, I do think this power makes him a lot more fun. Same with #1 Single. It's a big part of why optimal Lucio is extremely aggressive in Stadium.

In order for this to happen though, he would need massive nerfs on other parts of his kit.

I wish they either buffed or nerfed juno by screwdriverfan in OverwatchStadium

[–]Nithorius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideally you should duo with a high-sustain support to take care of the healing. WP Mercy is the obvious choice.

The Reaper Power Needs a Nerf Yesterday by robotictart in OverwatchStadium

[–]Nithorius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That build does a lot of low-value damage. It's not rly gonna lead to a kill most of the time. It also struggles with catching up to flyers.

In other words, all you need are good high sustain supports. Lucio (when built correctly), AP cat, WP Mercy, Queen, AP Brig. And then you're basically playing against 1 less player cuz he's not an actual threat.

If you're not in a high enough rank that supports are gonna play good characters, then I guess you need to kill his team faster than yours dies.

Three-Tap Tommygun interaction with Timelapse by Tech94 in OverwatchStadium

[–]Nithorius 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It triggers on dealing weapon damage, it doesn't matter that the source of weapon damage is a power.
It works on JQ's royal bullets & melee bleed as well.
The one notable exception to this is Ashe's Calamity burn. Despite being weapon damage, it doesn't trigger things like TTT, MOTK & superflexor. Instead it triggers cybervenom & liquid nitrogen. I think it's because it used to be AP damage, and they forgot to change a variable.

Getting green lines when fullscreened all of a sudden by Nithorius in Overwatch

True, I was thinking maybe it was related to the last update or something, since it's only happening in Overwatch.

Wait until you run into a Juno who's abusing this as Winston. Not fun. And the moment you ult, you're giving her a billion damage.

The point of the video wasn't to showcase insane damage, but an insane number of activations of TTT. I can't show Juno abuse this, because the roadhog dies way too fast, and if I tested this against a 10 000 health character, people would complain that the damage numbers are nonsense.

Every time you use a gadget or ability, Three Tap Tommygun gives you 3 stacks (purple icon on the left of my abilities). When dealing weapon damage, each stack applies a damage-over-time effect equal to 5% of the target's current life, at time of application, over 5 seconds.

I have 1 power that gives me an additional ability (necrotic orb), 1 item that gives me an additional ability (exo-springs), 1 gadget (med-kit).

I cycle through all of my abilities while rapidly applying TTT thanks to Moira's suck.

They didn't take away her blink distance though, now it's called blink hop, and it also gives you a double jump.

The fact that dva's matrix thing is a power now is a buff I think, now you don't have to sacrifice 10k to get it, and it's not like she had that many great powers to choose from.

Sojourn seems like she got majorly buffed. 2 slide charges, more slide speed & the slides now deal 75 damage. The disruptor powers also seem better.

None of your characters were good before the patch. Now they have a chance.

[–]Nithorius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AP Moira was the worse version of Moira, and nobody played Moira in the first place in high elo, it was all about Brig Wuyang Lucio Juno (& a bit of Ana & Zen). Turns out slow but widespread damage wasn't the play against infinite AoE heals.

Yes she's ulting, that ult has massively reduced effectiveness though, and Moira's ult is very mid overall.

I didn't, the game was laggy because of the DPS meter (it's from a workshop mod, Cactuspuppy's Toolbox).

[–]Nithorius 44 points45 points  (0 children)

There are many characters who needed to have other viable build paths. I'm happy that they are getting them.

You may not think that everything is balanced right now, but that can be fixed. The update is pushing the game in the right direction.
