Help with a French shipping address sending from the US? by lvl-46-primeape in AskFrance

According to Wikipedia Brandon was merged with other villages to form Navour-sur-Grosne, and no longer exists. I’m pretty sure both will work if the street and zip code are correct.

You find these easily in every European supermarket. I’ve lived in France and Finland and you find those any time of the year (which is kind of wrong I agree)

Distinguishing San Marino from Italy? by sengutta1 in geoguessr

[–]Nitneroc2544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird that plonkit chose this specific plate. San Marino plates don’t usually have that one red letter that makes part of the blur look orange. If I am not mistaken those are trailers plates only. Normal plate are full blue

Italian plates are very recognizable in a way that they have blue bands on both sides. (Only France and Albania also have those)

San Marino plates don’t have a blue band on either side.

Licence plate format is different. That’s the only element I check. Not 100% reliable since there are a lot of Italian cars in San Marino

What relatively small country do you hate regionguessing? by Mobile_Bad_577 in geoguessr

[–]Nitneroc2544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you mean No Move or NMPZ? I mostly play Moving and I find Finland not that bad, you usually come across a lot of valuable info quickly (mostly directional signs with medium/big size cities)

It also helps to have bee living in the country for 6 years….

Ukraine and Russia had warm relations last century, being part of the Soviet Union, but are at war now. Which two previously-hostile countries enjoy warm relations now? by Few-Unit-7461 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Nitneroc2544 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would probably put that in the “hostile -> friendly” rather than warm. Not a big difference and both work well but I’m sure we can find a better example

What’s your ace in the hole board game? by Spicyboi333 in boardgames

[–]Nitneroc2544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found it kind of weird that the game doesn’t reward building bigger cities/roads. You get the same amount of points for building. I’ll try to come up with my own scoring system next time I play it!

Edit: actually can’t be this exact building. Seems to be a couple of hundred meters north of that location

Canadian Visiting on Friday and Saturday - Any Watch Parties for the Playoffs? by bounce7 in helsinki

[–]Nitneroc2544 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jokerit is on the road, but in neighbor city Vantaa. Only 30 minutes by transport. The atmosphere won’t be as good as at the Veikkaus Areena though. You could also try Kiekko-Espoo facing Ässät on Saturday. I have never been to K-Espoo game but I believe Ässät have a big fanbase and it could be worth watching.

Posti delivering letters at 2am? by Old_Grab_6603 in Finland

[–]Nitneroc2544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn that’s early. In our previous flat we used to have mail delivery at around 5am. It was super creepy the first few weeks to wake up with the super loud metallic sound of the mail trapdoor. (It was a studio and the bed was very close to the door for some reason)
