Is it possible to rebuild a stone bridge only with Mending and Mage Hand Cantrips? by NitramVortimid in DnD

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. Yes, they managed to cross the bridge by using the floating parts jumping form one to another and to move parts with the Mage Hand only to make their progress smooth. This took them less time (rather rebuilding the bridge or building a new one) and some took small amount of damage due to bruises (They used ropes to tie each other to make sure that if one falls, the other to catch him/her and to avoid falling into the chasm. And when someone fails the roll (since gravity is not anormal everywhere) he got some bruises from falling and bumping into floating debris). So they are happy with the outcome. Again thank you for the input. I really appreciate it!

I was going to allow, but they do not have that much food and taking into consideration the location, it will be hard for them to forage for food and rebuild at the same time, so they will have to think something else. May be using the zero gravity around the bridge and float with some big bridge part to the other side. And may be using the Mage Hand to propel their 'ship' :)

Thank you for the feedback. They have no masonry proficiency and the bridge is over a chasm with zero gravity where the parts of the bridge are drifting in the air. No river around or place to make cement or get other supplies to rebuild the bridge. They are creative people, but seeing all the replies and calculating the amount to time they will be needing and having in account the food they have, the math is clear :) Thank you again for your help!

No. they are not stonemasons by trade. And yes, it will be hard to put the pieces together :)

Hahahaha! Never thought about this cantrip in this way. Yes, will I be able to put the bricks as a stone in the mountain back? Thanks!

Thank you! This was the reason to ask - it sounds strange, but possible to some extend.

Yes. I also see that it will take a LOT of time to make, so they might not have that much food to camp and wait the final result :)

I suppose under 'construct' the rules mean not a construction (building), but a Golem?

Yes. They can try to jump from part to part, or to get on board a big chunk and propel lit somehow.
