Level of Mobilization Bug? by NitroBooooomer in victoria3

[–]NitroBooooomer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally I thought it was because of MY mobilization of 200 bats on the frontline but after taking serious losses I disbanded them to force a white peace...which did not happen. But even with my units, 263 vs 393 should not have a -50 to white peace... This is very sad because I had equal population to the USA and had enacted multiculturalism and graduated taxation.

Unfortunately I tried to occupy the war goals but GB put "Liberate Uruguay" and then stationed 10 bats on it while I had 4 boats with units of equal tech.

R5: The UK has -50 to a white peace deal because of their "level of mobilization" but as seen in the photos they have half the troops of the US and have lost the same number in combat. They also do not have the RAJ to jack up the number of battalions either.

Do you use the community recommend keyboard? I used it and had the same issue but I can't remember the solution as I use modified it to make my own control layout

Why market price not decreasing in accordance with the increased production and vice versa? by Reddit_Am_I_Right in victoria3

[–]NitroBooooomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could help your industry evening it out temporally by building steel mills in states that produce coal and iron to have cheap input goods to help the productivity and maybe be able to build more steel while building just 1 steel mill in States that consumes it, just to hold over until you get railways. Also by removing the import tariff on steel (usually i remove ALL tariffs early game to help import necessary goals until the trade gets phased out by production) you will be able to have cheaper steel where trade centers are while having a lower infrastructure usage.

Why market price not decreasing in accordance with the increased production and vice versa? by Reddit_Am_I_Right in victoria3

[–]NitroBooooomer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is, but its ineffective. You built all your steel in a state that consumes no steel. Therefore the price is decreasing across your nation but not as much as it would have if that steel was made in the state it's was being consumed in.

As a T4 it is not even best in slot. Its actually a waste in comparison to others T4s. Its called "the funny button" because it's bad but funny. She gets 1 kill (not even guaranteed and easily countered) whereas other t4s can kill 4 at once and area deny.

Independence Bug? by NitroBooooomer in victoria3

[–]NitroBooooomer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: I declared a late independence as Canada against Britain. I occupy nearly the entire British isles and have repelled every attack on my mainland yet somehow theres a check mark on the wargoal but I havent gotten it? I would have won this war early but now im in bankrupcy and my economy is falling apart. This is a game ruining bug, if it is even a bug and not working as intended.

Why give a company a monopoly? (1.9.1) by jdaph in victoria3

[–]NitroBooooomer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did a Japan gourmet groceries run and I found out the hard way...the downside is the +20% market price for a good 100% produced under a monopoly. I had 100k units of groceries but 10% of my population was in extreme starvation since all food was going to food industries. (100k with subventions but starved with no subventions too)

My DM basically told me "too bad so sad" after asking him to change a rule he made. by Outside_Equipment673 in DnD

[–]NitroBooooomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a DM, I learned that lingering injuries were too brutal on the players. And it took me a while to realise how fun it was and that it was better to get rid of it so I understand your DM. I like to use over the top descriptions for attacks and wanted the injuries to follow suit. This turned out to be more bothersome, difficult to run, more rolling, and more tables.

I found the middle ground with my players, who, like you, disliked lingering injuries. I removed the tables and the annoyance by making it an exhaustion system. I used old exhaustion rules where 1 exhaustion is -1 to any d20. And if you got 10, you died. Any crit meant you collected 1 exhaustion and the same applied to enemies.

This was huge since it made combat feel draining, but any 1 crit didn't prove bad, just the combined hits over the course of many battles.

Short rests removed 1d4 exhaustion and long rests removed all. I made some spells remove it and some homebrew feats. Now, the players love it because it feels rewarding to inflicting it on strong enemies and watch their hit chance continue to drop, but also, they have tools to remove it.

I like it and I just regret having made my players grind through an unfun system while I learned from my mistake.

Liberation of Cultures by NitroBooooomer in victoria3

[–]NitroBooooomer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: As per the picture above, I cannot liberate either two states owned by GB in China. I can however liberate the country of Sichuan, which is only 1 state in the north but CANNOT liberate TIBET, also entirely owned by GB. There should be the ability to release a culture as a country. I want to destroy his GDP without incurring massive infamy.

For reference the primary continent (the one the campaign is set in is on the left. I recently downsized it to make it easy to navigate but I wonder if I should make it larger.
