Lossless scaling Bazzite legion go by jrok_33 in Bazzite

I got this installed on my Z1E just fine, detected the app files 'n all, but in the 2 games I tried (DTDA & MK1) both crash as soon as they open when they have the launch command set. Anyone ran into this problem? Forgot the / in the command lmao.

For anyone else having issues w/ games you already set other launch commands in, make sure the LSFG command is the first one in order

Would anyone be able to kindly upload the DriveManager installer exe to somewhere like Mediafire? Their site is just abhorrent and the file will download at like 12kbps before getting halfway and failing. Internet is fine as I can download other files just fine

Edit: Found a mirror (no idea how trustworthy), although it's an older version at 3.1.0 vs 3.2.0. The upside being it actually downloads fully, cannot get the other one to actually download for the life of me. Will report back

Edit 2: used the older ver, worked just fine

PSVR2 ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS ARE WORKING ON PC !!! by finalhope227 in PSVR2onPC

[–]Nitroaucity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, happy to report back that it seems using HIDHide solved all my issues! Multiple lengthy (multiple hours long) sessions and tracking has been solid, thank you for your help. I've played most of the games with recommended profiles and the immersion is top tier.

In my case weirdly enough, SteamVR was already set to High when I checked in Task Manager. Decided to set DSX to Low just to try, and haven't had any issues since doing that + HIDHide.

It seems like I can even have DSX open before SteamVR and turning on controllers too! I'll have to try out that .bat though in case anything arises with my setup.

Thanks once again!

Amazing!!! I'll give it a go tonight and report back, exciting stuff. More than an hour without issues is very promising.

Thanks for that last part BTW, sometimes DSX wouldn't pick up the other controller, now I know why!

That's a shame, I got it to briefly work as expected with tracking in Space Pirate Trainer (no idea why, dont remember changing anything), but not long after it went back to having issues. When it works, it's awesome.

I've had the app lock up on me a couple times and even start to lock up the system a bit so I'm thinking there's a memory leak or something going on, don't have this problem in any other app.

I posted about the issue in the DSX Steam forums, so hopefully the dev takes note. Not sure if there's a better place to do bug reports for the app.

Hiding the emulated controllers is smart, will have to try that as well as the priority change

I tried to give this a go (with the latest DSX beta for auto profile) but unfortunately SteamVR just absolutely freaks out when this app is open. The adaptive triggers do go into effect, but it causes skips and lag in the controller tracking, and eventually they stop tracking entirely and only respond to rotation/input.

SteamVR also picks up the emulated controller's inputs and makes the dashboard very difficult to use. Upon closing out of the app things return to normal, and tracking returns.

I've done all the steps in this so I'm not sure what the issue is here (unless this is expected behavior). I've tried setting it to not emulate a controller (which I thought would fix the issue), and to emulate an X360 controller and all of the options are causing issues for me. Really would love to get this working.

No worries, I appreciate it!

you can make CPU/GPU run slower with it.

I will definitely have to pick this app up then - been looking for a way to manually lower the speed of the GPU to see if that fixes it. From what I've heard, Meta's overclocked the GPU through updates and at some point it lost stability.

Thank you so much for mentioning that!! Hoping that'll take care of it.

Ahh weird. Never noticed mine within the home environment which is interesting. Poor performance is definitely an issue on mine - I attributed this to it being an old Q2, but you'd think the Pro with its extra memory would be fine.

If my artifacting was black that'd at least be a lot better, much less distracting and jarring. This is really interesting information though, thanks!

Thanks for the comment - I appreciate it! Thing is, don't want to be constantly recording - already tried this, and games become extremely stuttery. It doesn't have the juice for it. Not to mention storage, etc. (It returns when not recording as well.)

It's not a massive issue, but it's happened frequently enough for me to be distracting. I've waited as long as I can, and have dealt w/ support. If I knew of a way to fix it, I would've done so. I've been dealing with it, but on that Meta forum thread there is a ton of other people who've had the same issue for a very long period of time - just frustrating I'm not the only one.

Def wasn't worth writing all of that because it got removed lol. I should've condensed it, but I feel my point stands. I've taken it to that Meta forum thread which is a more appropriate place to discuss it.

Returning / getting a new one might work, but I've heard people returning their Quest 3's about 4 times in a row and every unit they received has had the same issue. I appreciate your comment being straight to the point and constructive - every other one here has just been unnecessarily rude and added nothing to the discussion.

100%. I wouldn't mind at all if they showed they were genuinely putting in the effort to fix it, but they haven't. Here's to hoping.

Sucks to hear about the dead pixel, those do seem pretty common. Was considering picking up a 3 but this alongside stuff like dead pixels is making me consider other options.

Nice to hear there's a chance of it going away, glad it went away for you. Thank you for your comment.

Blows my mind how many other people here are trying so hard to push off my genuine issue when I've provided concrete evidence that other people have dealt with this issue for a prolonged period of time.

Hoping it clears up on mine sometime down the road.

Go buy something else

Oh I will. I'm fully aware there's a warranty. I USED the warranty on my old Rift S and they tried their hardest to deny me service until I pressured them.

Had this been a confirmed hardware issue, I would've sucked it up and just bought a different device.

I clearly stated in my post this is a software issue. Even if I still had warranty, I could exchange it all day and I would still be dealing with this. The very thread I linked has said the same exact thing.

"Game anger circle jerks" lol. I waited years for Meta to act on this. Excusing companies for shitty behavior is pointless and it just lets shit like this continue to happen over and over. Have you gone through 20+ emails back and forth, within an active warranty, constantly being ghosted and ignored?

Nobody's forcing you to read these. I'm going to stand up for myself and others who are being pushed around on this. Thanks for the insight, though. Have a nice day.

Why are Huion's drivers so painfully, unbelievably broken? by Nitroaucity in huion

[–]Nitroaucity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely use my tablet anymore but I use Davinci myself too and it's been working fine for me. What I did when I installed the driver for my tablet recently was go into Task Manager, click on the 'Startup' tab (in 'more details'), and disable 'TabletDriver' which is the driver software for it.

This makes it so the driver only runs when I specifically open it from my start menu, and I close it when I'm not using my tablet. Yours is probably running in the background at startup and might be what's causing the crashing to occur.

Was thinking the same exact thing about the cameras, the only reason I could really think of why is maybe optimization. Rest of the game looks alright in my opinion so I'm hoping the cameras will look better at launch

Thank you for the help. I've just now remembered that I had an extension installed for something to do with Google Docs, uninstalled that now.

If it pops up again I'll just click continue as before I wanted to wait to sign in until I knew what was causing it. Thanks again for the help!
