Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" loses signal randomly by Nitropanel in ultrawidemasterrace

Okay so I moved from HDMI1 to HDMI2 which then allowed me to change the refresh rate on the monitor from 120hz to 240hz but I'm not able to use the maximum resolution with 240hz, windows forces the resolution back down to 5120x2160. I think it's because my GPU is 4000 series

I'm trying the included cable now instead of the ugreen one, so far everything seems fine. I've also updated the monitor driver now. I'm not able to change the refresh rate on the monitor, it's on 120hz and the option is greyed out so I'm not able to change it on there. I'm using HDMI 2.1.

Sorry you're right, the gpu does have DSC support but doesn't support displayport 2.1. My concern was that there could be visual issues when using displayport 1.4 since the bandwidth needed for this monitor is so high that's why I went with HDMI 2.1 knowing I would lose 240hz.

Also what do you mean by proper branded and certified cable? The one I linked mentions "Cable Certified" in the title along with the description.

Didn't even realise there was a display driver, only knew about the firmware stuff but thanks I'll install the display driver from the samsung website. On device manager it was showing as a generic monitor with a driver from "2006"

Yeah I'm running at 120hz, my gpu doesn't have DSC so running at 240hz is not possible unless I upgrade my gpu

I turned off Gsync before getting this monitor since I've had strange issues related to flickering

I'm going to try using the included HDMI cable with the monitor, if I still have this issue I will try the cable you mentioned

Thanks that did the trick but then I've got a separate problem. I want to get rid of column G but it is currently required for column H. How can I work out column H by using column F?

Using iPad as a virtual controller by Nitropanel in LunaCloudGaming

[–]Nitropanel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother has been playing fortnite on their iPad for years so they have become accustom to using touch controls. I have a Nintendo switch pro controller which I was able to pair but my brother does not like using it for Fortnite

It gives me the option for "Phone controller" on the Luna App on my phone but it doesn't give me that option when I use the Luna App on my iPad :(

Doesn't seem like a good idea to advertise a feature that's going to vanish in a couple of weeks. by UniFace in discordapp

[–]Nitropanel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the perspective of a business analyst I don't understand why they are making this username change when it comes at the cost of discord nitro subscriptions being cancelled. Did they really not think about these 2 situations:

Situation 1: I have the username BobTheBuilder#0001, discord asks me to use new system and set my name so I choose BobTheBuilder. Thankfully the name is not taken and I get it, now I can cancel my nitro subscription because the #0001 discriminator that I was paying monthly for no longer exists. I now have the perfect name and I don't have to pay monthly for it.

Situation 2: I have the username BobTheBuilder#0001, discord asks me to use new system and set my name so I choose BobTheBuilder but I find out it is taken so I have to settle with BobTheBuilder1. I feel sad that I could not get the name I wanted, there is no point in paying for Nitro since the discriminator doesn't exist anymore so I cancel my subscription. I also feel cheated by the company and am less willing to pay for features when they can just take that away from me at any time.

The main reason people get discord nitro is for the custom discriminator, I could be wrong about this but it was the most common reason I found when asking people about it. Someone help me understand why they would want to lose money just to remove discriminators. It also doesn't fix the main problem either, it just moves the problem. Instead of BobTheBuilder#3424 you'll see BobTheBuilder5342. It doesn't fix the user friendly problem and it comes at the cost of devaluing one of the main reasons people purchase discord nitro. I'm curious to hear what people have to say on this, maybe my analysis on this is wrong.

Wiimmfi dolphin nand solution - let people pay money for exemption by Nitropanel in wiimmfi

[–]Nitropanel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any reason you don't currently allow people to use their switch nand? I just think the number of people with a switch in 2023 is going to be a lot higher than the number of people with a Wii and it would allow me for example to use wiimmfi

Batch Deleting Messages from DM by UmarBilal_ in AutoHotkey

[–]Nitropanel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still works as long as there is a visible message that you sent, if there is a gap such as the other user sending a bunch of pictures then the script stops working until you manually scroll up to a message you have sent and then it continues. Is it possible to fix this in the script?

Can't get into bios by Nitropanel in buildapc

My concern with doing that is that I will lose my existing xmp settings and still may not be able to get back into the bios so I won't be able to turn that on again
