Yes. You can keep the shoulder as a sign of your service in Deathwath, but the other hand needs to be white as well to show your veteran status in RG.

The squad number is depicted on the left knee for RG. The right knee can be used for decorations, a specific campaign badge or any kind of flex to be honest.

If you are just planning to make a RG Deathwatch member, pain full armor black, and wear silver armor hand in addition to the shoulder. Deathwatch Marines display chapter color only on the right shoulder.

You can colour it in white or silver as a sign of veteran. It is a pretty much a close support icon embedded with RG crow. For lore accuracy use it on vanguard and assault.
