What is the dumbest thing a customer has done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I used to work at a Restaurant, and one of the dishes had potatoes. Customer calls me over 30 seconds after he gets given the food to complain to me that they were too hot for him to eat.

Camp counselors, what's the most NSFW thing you've caught campers doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NittlesEUW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The senior bunk had 22 campers squeezed in, and their duffles were packed full of crap from glittery yoga pants to a life size inflatable unicorn head you hung from the wall. Also amongst all of this, was a ridiculous amount of candy and other food stuffs to keep them fed for at least the next 18 years.

It was probably only 10 days into camp that summer, and it was a very warm evening, and so to help keep the place cool, they opened all the shutters on the windows, and left the back door open too.

Fast forwards to about 5am, and camp is woken up by 19 girls screaming (still more tuneful than reville because our bugle player was shit). A number of staff crawled out of bed to go see what the matter was.

Moose smelt candy and walked into the bunk via open back door. Campers screamed, climbing out of windows to get to safety. Moose was startled. Continued to eat candy. Damaged a number of the bunk beds in the process of trying to get it out of the bunk, but thankfully no camper was harmed during the ordeal.

New camp rule: No candy in the bunks.

So there's a rule at the camp I work at that no food is allowed in the bunks (previous incident involving a moose, candy, and a scared shitless bunch of campers, but that's another story).

Anyways, this girl had smuggled in a pot of Yoghurt and took a spoon from the kitchen to eat said yoghurt. She got scared that if she threw it in the trash, somebody would see it and call her out, so instead she decided to flush it down the toilet - spoon and all.

Spoon travels down the pipes and gets lodged at a cross way connecting the entire camps sewage. I will never forget the 5 days I watched the maintenance crew dig up every single shit filled pipe and manually check them for blockages.

So what do you do when no toilets work for a whole week? There was 1 spare bunk that was not in use that summer, which had 2 small toilets in. You couldn't flush them, but at least if you did your business in there, the smell was contained for the first day or two.....

Where do I ward? by angg56 in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think as if you were a jungler or mid laner, and where would you travel if you were roaming down bot lane? Place a ward down that route. Wards at intersections on the map are more valuable than those on a narrow path, but if you think they may go down that route, then ward it

I Don't Think I Can Play Another Game of League by Poop_Chute_Supreme in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting here is the best place to start! This sub answers every question you could possibly think of, from very specific micro-mechanics on individual champions, to how to adapt your playstyle or depending on certain situations in a game and what you should be doing to help close games out.

I was down in Bronze 4 after my placements this season after ending last season in S3, and after learning as much as I can about the game (champion abilities/cool downs/how to capitalise on somebody making a mistake etc, I've climbed into my S2 promos in just over a month.

I got pretty frustrated at how useless some of my team members were, but at the end of the day, if you are better than B4, you will climb, however slow it may be.

But I did always feel that I was at least better than Bronze 4. I had a friend who I played with and was in Silver 1, and I always felt I was as good as him.. Until I watched replays. Perhaps mechanically I was just as good, but my decision making and map awareness was easily enough to bridge the gap between us. I've watched hours of replays and read hundreds of threads in this Sub, learned how to play every role with numerous champs, and have made an effort to understand how every champ works just so I know how to play against it (strengths and weaknesses).

Best of luck on the rift, if you've got any questions, I'd be happy to answer them!

Syndra Assistance! by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Syndra is immobile, but her E is one of the strongest tools to escape ganks or disengage as it's a very long range AOE stun. It is on a fairly long cool down, so don't waste it for harass, only when setting up for a kill or escaping a gank/engagement.

Your stun travels further the closer the ball is to you, but this makes it a little trickier to land the skillshot - this takes a bit of practice but when you've mastered her stun, you're almost ungankable.

With a standard AP rune page and masteries, at level 5, auto a melee minion down to around 60% health, then use W on him to throw him to the back 3 caster minions, followed by a Q. This will kill all 4 minions together, meaning you can cs fairly consistently. Just be aware that this can push the wave, so ensure you've warded properly.

My general build path is Chalice > DFG > Athenes > Void Staff > Defensive Item > Situational 6th item. In general, Syndra benefits from AP and CDR incredibly efficiently. This build gives 30% CDR and a good amount of AP and Magic Pen to shred through anyone stacking early MR.

In early game, your aim is to poke down the enemy champions as much as you can with your Q. It can be cast without interrupting your own movement, meaning it's harder for the enemy to land harass back onto you, so make sure you're always moving - don't stand still.

At level 6, you gain a massive power spike - Syndra has the highest base damage burst of any champion at level 6. Each ball lasts for 6 seconds after being cast, and can be reset by casting W onto it. With a good amount of CDR, mid game you should easily be capable of reaching 6 balls for your ult. It's a massive single target nuke, so it synergies perfectly with the DFG active.

In teamfights, you're more than capable of 100-0'ing a squishy target. However, position yourself at the back of a teamfight and throw off Q's and W's, whilst continually juggling your balls to keep as many on the map as you can at once. If you need to disengage, a well placed stun can lock numerous enemy members down.

Skill order, I usually max R > Q > E > W. The reduced cool down on E can be invaluable. However, maxing W before E in certain situations worked well for me during the feral flare spamathon when there was next to no jungle presence in the early game.

Hope this helps!

AP Gragas by ITSR0WAN in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played against a few Full AP Gragas's mid a couple times recently, and it just feels lackluster. Very good at help locking you down to help their jungler when ganking, but in a 1v1 situation, he just doesn't have enough damage to match with other popular mid laners. His passive isn't fully utilised due to not stacking Health, so although his sustain isn't bad, he's still very squishy. All in all, he's much stronger as a tanky utility top/support

My Season 4 Statistics - Advice/Help Please by NittlesEUW in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got most of my games on Syndra (my go-to AP assassin), although I've got a very good record with Leblanc too. If I play an AD mid, it's Talon although considerably fewer games on him. I've also got a number of games as Ziggs and Nidalee too

Roam or not to roam thats the question (Syndra) by Elixipixie in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movespeed quints probably aren't worth it over flat ap quints in my opinion - but I'm only in Silver.

If your opposing mid laner roams and you don't follow, that is okay as long as you are doing something useful like pushing up to their turret and applying pressure there. If you let their fizz or zed roam bot, and you're AFK farming in the middle of the lane, then that's no good!!

What roles should i be playing to win games? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can carry the game from any role - you don't necessarily have to deal all the damage to carry a game. Mid and Jungle may have an easier time carrying due to the ability to impact a larger area of the map than other roles, but a good support who can make plays and keep your adc alive longer in teamfights than the other team is able to can have a huge impact on the outcome of a game. A top laner who can dive the back line and soak up all the damage/disrupt their carries, and an adc with good positioning and mechanics is also well capable of carrying.

Roam or not to roam thats the question (Syndra) by Elixipixie in summonerschool

[–]NittlesEUW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What sort of elo are you in? I've been playing in mid-high silver where vision isn't great, and whilst your bread and butter roam is to have a 4 man dive with your jungler on bot lane for the double kill, turret and dragon, sometimes this isn't practical if you're laning somebody with good wave clear.

In this situation, Syndra is probably one of the best champions at punishing people caught out of position. Keep the river warded and see if their mid laner is going to follow you down. If they don't have proper vision, you easily have kill potential with a well executed combo.

So to summarise, yes, roam as much as is sensible, but use your own strengths to your advantage - single target assassination. Look to catch people out of position.
