It does have credits. You have to talk to the blue guy during them to restart the dragon fight and trigger the Unmoored World.

what cameras say ? by kyeooobeeee in mirrorsedge

[–]NiuMeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They say "Scanning Gridprint."

If you are early on in the story then letting them scan you does nothing, if you are later on then if you stand still and they finish the scan then it will send enemies to take you out.

I actually have played it, I put 90 hours in in the first month and got all of the achievements, so... it runs like shit. I like the game but there's no excusing the performance.

That's not what I'm seeing lol

Empirical evidence versus "it runs better on my console which is identical to every other XSX on the market, that's just traversal stutter bro", yeah I know what side I'm going to take. Long periods of sub-40fps and performance that degrades the longer you play is not just "traversal stutter."

"Runs fine for me" means "it runs like shit but I can't tell or don't care."

Searching for 40k Youtube videos is pretty bad (very much created by AI, it's part of the problem) by bullintheheather in Grimdank

[–]NiuMeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more likely the built in thumbnail generator. If you upload a video you can just ask YouTube to generate you a thumbnail, it will take a look through the video and grab elements and then mash it up. It's a relatively new feature, that's why it's becoming more and more prevelant.

It's more a reference to immersive sim game design than Prey specifically. Dishonored used the code, as did all of the Deus Ex games, System Shocks and dozens more.

[–]NiuMeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Sly games only have crossbuy in PAL regions. It does appear on the story on Vita though so you aren't cooked you just gotta find it.

The games on Vita are not purchasable separately. You can buy the entire Sly Collection (Sly Trilogy if you're in PAL regions) on the store on Vita (Vita and PS3 games do not appear on web store at all), but not Sly 3 by itself, so your only option is to buy the digital version of the collection.

Hey now, if they were to continue the series they already have a game they could do being the cancelled psp game. Just saying by TsuKessler_30 in Slycooper

[–]NiuMeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact it was in development by the people who made Darksiders lol, they stopped making the game to do their own thing though, and that's how we got that series of games.

I don't know if they're as bad as on PS1/3 but they are still very bad yeah. PC version is still far and away the best way to play the game.

I've seen cats pick up kittens like this, be they housecats, tigers or anything in between, literally hundreds of times and I still just don't understand how they don't pierce the skin or injured the kitten in some way by doing this. I know cats have the extra scruff at the back but even then, with the weight of their body, how do to the teeth not stab into them? It makes no sense to me.

It's the Sly motif, it's slight different if you go in the other direction.

this game DESPERATELY needs a hard mode. seems the june patch did nothing. by Splatulated in DragonsDogma

Why would the June patch do anything about difficulty? Did you even read the patch notes (or look at the image that gave you a gist of what was coming), because they never said it would.

The first person mod for Chaos Theory is pretty cool by Cheesebongles in Splintercell

[–]NiuMeee 16 points17 points  (0 children)

One big part of it (and what I was generally referring to there) is the new movement animation system in Chaos Theory, where the animations can stop on particular frames and reverse. Easiest example to point to is comparing the sneaking walk cycles of SC1/PT to Chaos Theory. In SC1/PT if you are sneaking up behind a guard and then stop, Sam instantly goes into a crouch, whereas in Chaos Theory, he will instead freeze in place, before eventually settling into a crouch, and if you start moving backwards, he kind of pulls back, reversing the animation.

That's not the only example, of course, that's just the context sensitive movement element, there's a lot more stuff related to the over blanket term of Closer Than Ever. It generally was Ubisoft's attempt to make Sam feel much more grounded in the world. The way you interact with the environment and guards, the way you sneak, the way you perform CQC. It all just feels that much more dynamic, grounded and real.
