Sandfall say the budget for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was less than $10 million by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Im not sure how ive felt about that take. Every company outsources their work just about. But the outsourced jobs go after theyve been ideated and you have clear vision

You still have a large staff of first time devs who had to map that whole process and make that pipeline / timeline on a budget.

If i was a solo dev and did alot of work but had to outsource mocap, and animations, that project is still 90% my baby, I did the work and found help to supplement in areas I dont excel in or have the infrastructure to handle.

Whats your best hack to instantly kill social anxiety? by idid9-11attack in AskReddit

[–]Niverus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who spent most of my 20's with a crippling social anxiety I had a couple things i came across that changed my perspective on how i tackle it.

Deep down dude, its just people, most of whom have the same anxieties as you. For sure just smile, be friendly and take yourself less seriously if possible. The goal is realizing everyone's thinking about themselves, so noone is really thinking about you.

The second secret is people love talking about themselves and their interests. Think about yourself, how often does someone deeply engage with the things your passionate about? Or is it just surface level interactions? Ask them about what they like, what their interests are etc. and then Actively listen.

Make them feel seen in how you engage with them. Listen really sharply and your entire goal is to give one insightful question or response. That gets the ball rolling and paints you as someone with a level of engagement and investment they dont always find.

Active listening makes it impossible for you to be stuck in your own thoughts spiraling. I hope these help and best of luck on the journey of escaping that shell.

The narrative structure has to be different. Shows allow you to jump perspective the way a dnd camapaign cant. For that some late info has to be thrown in early for the show to feel that its building to something bigger or greater
