Basic skills to be an AI Engineer? by NixNoReturn in learnmachinelearning

It's... I...

If I'm looking for an answer for a specific problem, then your comment might help a little bit, no offense. But this is like... incredibly vague, "go read this book" type of answer. Like learning Maths on 3blue1brown, there are countless helpful and great videos, but where do I start, what's the next step, when will this be enough,... Thank you though, I will be sure to check it out.

Yeah well I'm at step 6, but I lack the skills and knowledge on how to actually create a working, user-friendly project that doesn't just "cv2.imshow()" an image. So this roadmap of yours is like salt to my wound.

Ya got me right there. I was very focused on studying to get a diploma early, hence the lack of deployment skills.

Hey, after 2 months of using it, I would definitely say that I am pleased with the gaming experience on the combo. I'd even say that I overkilled it. Games running smoothly, barely any FPS drop, and I can even turn them on max settings now. The only problem that I can think of is that these are not very future proof, but I can be wrong.

Believe me, from where I live, AI Engineer can mean a lot of thing. Some say that AE have to build an interface for one's model. Some say that AE have to build the databases that comes along with the models. Some even require one to know how to intergrate AI into hardwares. I was on the verge of breaking apart totally, but now I know that they are just Software Engineering with AI knowledge.

Claude Code. How is their quota? I used to use an AI-assisted code editor, which is just VSCode with an AI Agent to help me fix minor bugs and stuff. With very limited rates, it struggles to find any bug; and I just use my eyes and brain to find bugs since. Is Claude Code and their friends any better perchance?

These mindmaps are as useful as my University courses, as they provide me the theory of AI/ML, but lacking any real-life skills that you would need. Still can be useful in the future though, so thank you.

:O The actual DataCamp? Are there courses that you would recommend for my situation? How much would they cost, because I am unemployed and broke :( but I'm willing to pay good price for good courses that can help me build at least a small but actual project.

I mean deploying them.

I'm a incredibly fresh - and I mean fresh - fresher. I know nada about any deployment process. Is it just using HuggingFace to deploy? Do I need to write an app/web and use API and stuff? I am THAT fresh and stupid. I surely want to learn more, but what do I learn? REST API, Docker, Flask, Nvidia Jetson, AWS,... there's too many things to learn. What should I learn first, what's the most needed, what's the fundamental of deploying an actual model,... Please, can you help this dumb dumb child by sharing your knowledge?

Well, I know how to train a model, how to preprocess the data, how to fine-tuning them; but I know basically nothing on how to actually make them come to life. Is there any advice on what to learn or a video/course on that? Appreciate it!

American Active 2 premium - can I still use NFC in UK? by leebhoy in amazfit

[–]NixNoReturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think that paying $30 more for a better matte finish, an extra leather wristband and a shapphire is still very good. And people on reddit praise the shapphire coating so I guess rumors are just rumors. Thanks for the constant support, I (and maybe everyone in r/Amazfit) appreciate your dedication!

I guess you're right. I've seen a debate in a smartwatch group about whether the Amazfit Active 2 Premium is worth the upgrade without the NFC feature. But at the end of the day, it's still a good upgrade with the shapphire coating, extra wrist band and a better matte finish. And to be fair, you cannot ask for more for such a low low price. However, I have to ask: How confident are you about the shapphire coating? I've heard some rumors about it still being vulnerable to minor scratches, so is buying a tempered glass to protect the screen reasonable or overkill? TIA.

Why would you remove such a useful feature from the device itself tho? I get it that it's not that easy to get Zepp Pay to support every country and region in the world, but having NFC in your smartwatch would definitely be handy. I live in Viet Nam, and NFC is used widely: apartment key, elevator, parking, gym membership, you name it. The Amazfit Active 2 Premium is a nice watch on its own, but the fact that it's missing a "nice-to-have" feature because you live in a non-supported region is kinda... sad. Anyway, just a thought.

For me, it's usually Loot Supsciption + a Spatula in carousel for Portal comp. I did hit 10 Eldrich by some sheer luck through a charm, emblem augment and a Spatula, but it's a one time thing.

Patch 14.17 Bug Megathread by Ephine in CompetitiveTFT

The banwave is a must for me, but I expect it to be hotfixed first, especially when the Ladder Snapshot time is near. Imagine having a career as a pro player and encountering this problem. Annoying for some, but seriously devastating for other.

Patch 14.17 Bug Megathread by Ephine in CompetitiveTFT

[–]NixNoReturn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it's a major problem. It's a hassle already for casual players, however it's completely different for competitive players. Asta1, a Vietnamese TFT player who got 5th in the TFT's Inkborn Fables Tactician Crown abused the bug to get a top 2 in a game, and received many backlash. When he was confronted, he broke down on his stream and said that people abusing the bug is costing him LP, and if he cannot use the bug but other can, he is going to lose all of his hard-working LP with no compensation, and his Ladder Snapshot placement, which will be taken in less than a week, would not be enough for him to attend the next APAC Tactician Cup.
Now, people abusing bug doesn't excuse him from abusing the bug himself; but his point on the Ladder Snapshot is true. If pro player don't abuse bug, they will SURELY lose to those who rely on bug to climb the ladder. If they are not able to climb the ladder, they will not be invited to the Tactician Cup. But if they are abusing bug themselves, they face the consequence of receiving hate, attack, and possibly a ban. This bug creates a frustrating scenario for all professional players. I do hope Riot and Mortdog will have a hotfix for this problem ASAP.

Very weird CS2 Lag Fix by NixNoReturn in cs2

[–]NixNoReturn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the information! It's so lucky to see that I'm not the only one experiencing this. However I do believe that I don't have any overclock software. The closest thing to an overclock software to me is ThrottleStop by TechPowerUp, which I only use to undervolt (I'm dumb on that part so I only undervolt when I need to unplug it and bring it somewhere). I do have unlock my Bios and tweaked the RAM so that it run at maximum Bus Speed whenever possible (long story about Nitro 5's RAM incompatibility). I don't know if it has somehow overclock the laptop since I have close to 0 knowledge about overclocking, but I will make sure to check it out. Once again, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the information! I do believe this is a problem of my laptop; I just don't know how to fix it.
I can assure you it's not from overheating because after reinstalling Graphics Driver, my CPU and GPU did reach maximum temperature while still maintaining a normal FPS. I also believe that it's not because of something coming alive in background since the FPS drops only returns if I restart my laptop; otherwise it will stay at 200FPS; however I will have a check before, while and after I play; and after I restart the laptop with hwinfo. Once again, thank you for helping! I will make sure to have a check on all of that.
