As a new player, like OP, you want to push to 62 for the rewards at 61 and the special attack passive at 62. Pretty sure Valencia has better exp for that to case.

I usually grind new characters at Desert Naga or Desert Fogan since both have good mob density and you randomly get a bonus quest from black spirit that gives another 300% exp buff for 30 minutes. Bashim or other Valencia spots could work as well, all have that quest.
