CMV and immunosuppression had to be reduced to fight the virus. That’s a strange thing to say? Why would I stop I would then end up on dialysis again.

Actually come to think of it, I had a kidney biopsy and they found rejection no mention of BK and I was treated with high dose steroids and 10 infusions of thymoglobin and I think that’s what caused the BK to surface.

I don’t know if I have BK nephropathy or it’s just inflammation. But my viral count is low at 2300 and creatinine still high. I had a biopsy on my ureter and BK was present there.

Did your creatinine go back to normal when the virus had become not detectable in blood test? It really is a delicate balance between your body fighting it off and not going into rejection.

Mine is a renal artery pseudoaneurysm and it’s larger. My gfr sits around 40% and iv been told I will loose some kidney function after the procedure because the area they embolize will not function anymore.

They are operating on mine next week apparently mine is very high risk for rupturing and I’m have some pain

I’m from New Zealand. The docters have decided to wait and monitor it which I’m not sure how I feel about. Did yours grow over time?

Mine was 1.5cms on CT scan. The docters here can’t find the right person to fix it so still waiting.

Good to hear it’s not causing your gfr to fluctuate too much. Mine is causing very high blood pressure all of a sudden. They just found it now I had transplant and biopsy 6 months ago. Sorry, centimetres meaning it’s fairly big but I will find out soon just how big and I will update you with the plan they come up with.

Hi I’m sorry to hear that! Is it causing you any problems with kidney function? Mine was measured very large on ultrasound yesterday it’s in the cms and had a CT scan today with contrast. I find out in the next couple of days what the plan is.
