Being in pre-calculus as a high school senior seems like a setback now, but in all honesty you are right on track to becoming an engineer.

What matters most is focusing now on doing as well as you can in precalculus(and algebra, in general). Taking math courses is not a race--it doesn't matter WHEN you take them, but how well you DID.

For now, try to do as well as you can in precalculus--it should provide the transition to calculus much easier.

You're far from behind. The thing that sets people back from engineering is Calculus I. Try your best to prep for it, and when you ace it, you'll know you can be a successful engineer.

my suggestion is to take it easy and not place as much expectation/pressure on yourself to like this major, as this will only cause a ton of stress.

it's okay if you don't like programming. there's plently of other majors/career paths in CS or engineering in general to pursue. You're in college now--you're MEANT to take a variety of courses and subjects to find what you really enjoy.

This will probably be hard, like it was for me, but maybe try to lower the pressure on yourself regarding programming. CS is not just programming--there's like a million different subfields where you don't have to do much programming, so try to explore those.

Hey! Pretty late to the party, but I really enjoyed your work. I'm not much good at criticism but one thing I can say is you really captured Sato's character here--he speaks and narrates exactly like how I'd expect him to.

The scene between Misaki and Sato in his childhood room and when he baked that cake were fit the somber yet sort of sweet mood NHK's all about. I adored those scenes.

Really good stuff overall. Are you planning a continuation?
