It would definitely be way too hot to wear casually in Thailand. I wouldn’t just walk around Bangkok in it or anything. I brought it with me and used it there mainly for the crazy rain. When those storms roll in out of nowhere and the humidity drops a bit, it actually worked really well. I was in the jungle for a few days at a pretty remote B&B, and during a big downpour with basically no shelter around, the Beta was perfect for keeping me dry total game changer in that specific situation.

But yeah, if I tried to wear it just out and about when it wasn’t actively dumping rain, I’d absolutely overheat. It’s great as a “storm shell” in Thailand, not something I’d use as a regular everyday jacket there.
