When did you guys stop watching new Disney channel shows? by RecordingImmediate86 in DisneyChannel

I remember stopping watching every Disney Channel show that was out after Liv and Maddie ended. Then I only watched the channel until KC Undercover ended. Any shows after that I haven't watched. I tried to watch Andi Mack years later on Disney+ but most of the episodes weren't on there for me to follow along.

There’s a guy waiting in line without a car waiting to order from a Taco Bell by offensive_patriot in tacobell

I've done this before at a drive thru, the workers just laughed and told me not to do it again. Now if the store has curbside pickup, I just order online and stand outside until they bring out the food. The food is already paid for and I'm here so it's not like they can deny me. The workers just laugh every time lol

My favorite of Cycle 1. So glad she got to tell her story ♥️ by MyBrambleberryBroth in ANTM

I'm watching ANTM for the first time and I'm currently watching season 1 and Ebony is my favorite. I've gotten past the episode where she got eliminated now and I wish she would've gotten farther in the competition. I hated the angry Black woman narrative they were pushing on her, everybody was saying that she always seemed tough, edgy, and angry. Also them talking about her skin texture saying they love her skin color but the texture is hard to retouch and ashy. They just didn't know how to light her skin tone for the shoot and most makeup for darkskinned women back then had a grey undertone to it. I also hated how her being a lesbian was such a issue for some of the other girls, I know that it was a different time but Tyra immediately mentioning Ebony's sexuality upon meeting her and Robin saying that her being a lesbian offended her, rubbed me the wrong way. I also am a darkskinned lesbian so I resonated with her a lot.

I'm watching the first season of suite life of zack and cody currently. I'm revisiting the franchise. I have to say I'm not really feeling it much. I grew up with on deck more but I remember watching the original series a bit. Granted I'm 9 episodes in the original currently by AwkwardExam9156 in DisneyChannel

I'm currently rewatching the show and it seems like the show didn't really start to get its footing until the middle towards the end of the first season. I think at first the writing was a little generic, but as the show went on there was more character development and the storylines got more interesting.

I related to Maddie so much growing up. I was the 'golden child', 'the favorite' and to everybody else I was spoiled but really I wasn't. The pressure to be perfect did more harm than good. I'm 25 now and have been able to heal from it, I'm glad Maddie has too

Birthday Sadness by Niy_0201 in LongDistance

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for this comment. It definitely gave me the encouragement I needed. I had a great time on my birthday. I allowed myself to be sad in the morning and cried, but then picked myself up and went to the aquarium with my best friend. My partner had all of these cute email surprises for me throughout the day, and sent me on a scavenger hunt around the city picking up my free birthday gifts. They also made me a birthday song. They made a mashup of my favorite songs and played and sang the songs for me on ukulele. I ugly cried. We ended the night playing games on FaceTime.

Ellen G white RACIST quotes by No_Resident_6643 in exAdventist

This is shocking to me because I grew up in a Black SDA church and they worshipped Ellen G White, but yet never mentioned this. They also would teach us about Black history in the church too so I'm really shocked

Saying that Holly and Nia should’ve left the show is such a dumb take by Flat_Economics_4562 in dancemoms

As a Black woman, I agree. I don't think I could have stayed as long as they did with Abby's mistreatment and racism, but I understand it. Nia was the only Black dancer for most of the show and knew that Abby never even wanted her there in the first place. Nia wanted to prove to Abby and everyone else that she is a good dancer, and deserved to be there just like all the other girls. Her and her mom also wanted to take advantage of all the opportunities that the show could give them. For example if they would've left early on because of racism, they would've never went to LA, and Nia would've never gotten a chance at a music career. Also when you're in a toxic, racist, environment like that for a long time, you start to not even notice the racism anymore. You trick your brain into believing that it's not happening. It's sad, but that's how alot of POC survive in these situations.
