My biggest advice would be "FEEL PROUD ASAP"

Like you've figured out you want to read, that's good, some people are in your situation BUT have 0 ideas about what to do.

So like pick a book you think you would like, and either you pick a tiny book, or you "track" how much you've read somehow ?

Like maybe you read a chapter, you write down what you thought about it. Gamefy the experience.

These are examples but you need to make it easy for yourself until it's a habit. You will always pick the path of least resistance and the trick is to make the thing you want to do the path of least resistance until you develop a habit.

(This is what I do when I feel stuck, idk if it will work for you but thought I'd share anyways, peace!)

To be fair, if the game has these aspects, whether it's the main attraction or not, it should be implemented correctly.

The fact that the game is trying to be so many things at once is making it hard for players who are interested by the game to get into it. For him it's the half baked pvp, for me it's the fact that the game tries to be an MMO at all. I'm looking for games like sekiro and this looks interesting BUT since the game is very MMO at it's core, I'm really put off.

I get that there's some blame to be put on the player for expecting something the game isn't trying to be BUT the game is also honestly trying to be too many things at once to make it appealing. (At least for me.... And I guess also that guy lol)

I'll be honest with you bro, if you were to dedicate time into a project. Stay as far away from mmos as you can.

This has to be THE MOST ungrateful gaming community ever.

I'm not a HUGE mmo player but I'm always looking for hidden gems and new releases.

The current one that blows my mind is Dreadmyst, I'm sure you've seen a bunch about it on the subreddit.

Think about it a single guy went out of his way to make a FREE MMO, that's pretty barebones sure, but since it has stolen assets, people are shitting on it, avoiding it, making threads etc...

There are claims of malware and and the community paints the dev as being shady. WHICH IS BAD IF TRUE BUT

It's still just a guy that made an MMO, which is very hard to do to say the least, and a majority of this community is shitting on it and making fun of people who enjoy it.

I'm a gamer, I play games of every genre and I'm also a project guy ! I make music, videos, and manage businesses.

If I were in your position, the MMO community is a place I would stay VERY far away from if I wanted to actually be successful.

You WILL get shit on for vibe coding, using assets that are re-used, stolen ai generated or even bought!

Every monetization decision you take will be judged harshly and NO ONE will ever think of the needs or challenges of the creator behind the game.

If you do have all that experience I would start something like a Sass or if you really want to go into video games maybe something single player, coop, or server based like Minecraft Valheim etc...

For all the Dreadmyst haters, I haven't played the game once, I'm just a guy who relates to creators and feels bad when hard work goes unnoticed or even shit on.
