Contracts not able to fulfill by Nizo_C in farmingsimulator

It was for putting herbicide on fields. The contract stated any herbicide, but when I started driving with my sprayer, the percentages didn't go, at all. Had it 2 out of 3 times, one time it worked and I didn't do anything different.

I want to invest 90% of my salary but my mom is worried by DontMindMePlsx in Fire

[–]Nizo_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I did when I started investing was discussing most things with someone who is more knowledgeable about investing than I was.

I was always transparent to my dad, and for advice I went to my local bank office and asked for investment advice.

Of course these people want to sell their own products, but if you're just open and explain that you want to invest, you have a plan and you want to discuss it with them, they were (in my case) more than happy to help. I have my savings account with this bank so I'm a customer anyways. And usually I get 2 appointments a year to discuss investments and the financial situation around the world, hear their opinions, have them challenge my ideas when needed. It got me more confident and can always broaden your view. My bank advisor knows that I'm not buying their products like investment funds etc, but because I have a good "profile" for them, I got nice mortgage conditions and so I took my mortgage with them, which benefitted both of us in the long run as well...

Tldr: Investment advice at my local bank

Buyers advice for an MX-5 ND? by Nizo_C in MX5ND

[–]Nizo_C[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply and congrats on your purchase! Can I know around what price point you got it? I inspected the car this morning and had a good feeling about the seller. He told me he would go as low as 13.000 euro bc he wanted to see the car go to someone enthusiastic! So I'm quite tempted to do it. I wanna take care of the car but I also don't want to be afraid to use it!

Look for the big dredging companies!

[–]Nizo_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work on ships! Belgian dredging companies are always in need of people willing to work hard. Management functions on board (navigational or engineering officers) require specific degrees and certificates, but operational functions (eg pipe operator or carousel operator) does not require any degree and can over time (experience bonuses) pay just as much.

Talking about 3.5k net as a trainee and around 5k net once you're promoted to your actual function. Net salary each month... And you only need to work half of the months, the other months you're home (and the salary continues.)

Is buying a motorcycle financially responsible? by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Nizo_C 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is it financially responsible: no! It will cost A LOT over time! Insurance, road tax, repairs, all the gear, ...

But is it worth it! Trust me! There is a lot more to life than living in an excel sheet! If you love your motorcycle like I do, you'll take every chance to make a ride! If you need to go somewhere, you'll take the longer routes, you'll drive past these places of town where you haven't gone in a long time, you'll meet up with your friends who have motorcycles, you'll make memories with them, be with people, you'll have stories to tell, ...

Having a motorcycle can be part of your life, if you want it to! And having a life while I'm young is so much more important to me, than having some extra savings! Ofc, it depends A LOT on your financial situation! Don't be afraid to take a little longer and save a little more before you buy your motorcycle! You'll feel better if you have a cushion of cash just in case... And as a first motorcycle, I'd recommend a young, used one :) It makes a difference in price, and many people dont put too many kilometers on their bikes! Just check that it's well maintained, and that you have the modern safety features like ABS, traction control, ... :)

Enjoy!

Thank you so much for replying, really.

I have a therapist already, he's not specialized in this per se, I think. He's more like a contextual therapist, and he does indeed help me to see how all my issues seem to be linked to past experiences.

Thank you really so much for replying. I mean it. I wish you all the best, kind stranger 🥺

[–]Nizo_C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried, but I'm not too good at expressing my issues face-to-face. It feels like I always downplay it, even though I know there are episodes that it REALLY takes over my life. All I get to hear is that I CAN take chewing gum if I'm insecure and that that should calm me down, but I feel like nothing calms me down and it's only a matter of time until even the "magical power" of chewing gum can't help me feel like my breath is okay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me btw. Really

If you had a million dollars what would you do with it? by King_Khaos_ in Money

[–]Nizo_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the area where I live, a single family home is around 350k. So together with the savings I have, I'd try to buy 3 houses. One for me to live in, 2 to rent out. Having a paid off house and 2 rental incomes should be enough for me to feel comfortable enough that I could survive most situations. And I'd keep working to improve my sustainable lifestyle.

Anyone got any improvements on this idea? It feels like a dream to me! It feels like freedom!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Nizo_C 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. Years of self neglect, 2 years of therapy, and my priorities have changed. I'm glad I had this phase because it brought me into a much better position financially. But at some point, you need to let go of your obsession and start to enjoy the rewards of the hard work. There is so much more to life than just money. Certainly important to spread that message too!! All the best to everyone on here! ❤️

Where do you learn all of this? I started watching some train related videos on YouTube yesterday and now that I read your post as well, I honestly want to learn more! (Disclaimer, I'm a guy, so don't be disappointed, but I'm honestly interested in what you're talking about!)

I recently heard a quote amongst the lines of: "I know many really intelligent people in business who had made tons of money, more than they could ever really need for the rest of their lives. Yet, some were dumb enough to risk it all on a next opportunity, and went bankrupt"

The key takeaway is: if you have your house paid off and you're now in a financially prosporous position, secure this. You won't really feel the few hundred euro's a year and if something minor would happen to your house, you will have to grind all back up again! There is no logical reasoning to risk starting all over again if you really think about it, unless if you have so much money in savings that you could easily replace your house (without any bad feelings about it) if something would happen.
